Konaa blinked. And then blinked again. And then a third time, just for good measure. Did this girl seriously just suggest what he thought she'd suggested?
Granted, the idea of a race or a struggle match with that jerkass Almasy was an ill thought indeed. But...What was up with her other suggestion!?
"Er...What?"
He tilted his head, frowning. "Did I hear you correctly? Cause I could've sworn you suggested that you invited me to go to the beach with a girl I met two seconds ago and a guy I hate. And that would just be silly."

Seifer chuckled. So, there were folks who could suggest that kind of thing. "The beach, huh? Sure, why not? I don't have anything planned. What's the matter, scared of little old me and a girl? Or maybe you're just scared of the beach," He taunted, not really caring if Konaa went along or not.

Nanette waved away Konaa's accusations of silliness, flapping her hand back and forth in the air and responding casually with a strong rebuttal--
"Your priorities are mixed up, Konaa," she said with a face of compassionate knowing, "It's Watermelon Wednesday-- free watermelon all day today."
Yeah.
Who's can resist that?

He rolled his eyes at Seifer's taunts. What did he think he was, five years old? He hadn't been stung by a taunt since...He didn't even remember.
"Yeah, sure, why not. I had nothing better to do today anyway."
He raised his eyebrows at Nanette's watermelon tirade. "You know, you're not doing much to dissuade me from thinking you're ridiculous. I don't even like watermelon."

"That would be your problem," Seifer replied, shrugging. "By the way, they still charge for the beach line at the station. I'm not paying for either one of you if you don't have the money to go."

Nanette closed her eyes and, with a small smile, waved away Konaa's complaints.
It was Thursday anyway.
"I've... got enough munny for the three of us," she said, tapping a pocket with a small jingle. "But unless anyone brought their suits with them, we need to turn around and head to our own homes."
Nanette shrugged.
"The Station in an hour sound good?"
