For you, the word nightmare probably brings back memories of being a kid and running to mommy and daddy’s room because of the downright terrifying experience you can’t even remember. I mean sure, we all have nightmares even when we’re older but those are so much less significant because by then we’re old enough to comprehend that it’s just a dream. To the citizens of Coldvale, nightmare has taken on a whole new meaning.
It’s a word used to refer to the creatures that have supposedly been prowling the streets and consuming victims carelessly. I say supposedly because not everyone believes in the existence on these supernatural beings. These skeptics would prefer to believe that there is some bloodthirsty and crazed cannibal running around. Then again, does it matter? Either way it’s a hellish event to be living through.
