Has anyone bought/played it? I've been kind of wanting to it, but one; I don't have the money, two; the PSP is my sisters. Alas, I could of bought the PSP from her for 50$, but then I'd have to buy the game..-Sigh- I need a job.
But, anywho, those of you who have played it so far, what do you think of it? Etc. Just don't name any spoilers? lol. Well, for those of us who plan to play it eventually.
I saw it as a pre-order thing and then one day I saw it in the store and was all, wait, it's out already? D:

I've been playing it quite a bit.
It's definitely the hardest KH game yet, I'll say. And avoiding spoilers is tough. XD

At least you can play your copy of the game... I can't do squat with mine because of the college stuff and the 'developing good habits' stuff. Even if I come home on the weekends I doubt I'll be allowed to play it... even though it's my PSP and I bought the game as well... seriously this bites.

I have it and its fun as hell. The ability customization and arena area make it a game that goes beyond just the story mode. As for difficulty, I am playing it on the hardest difficulty but I wouldn't say that this is the hardest Kingdom Hearts game I've played even with the secret bosses. KH2 Final Mix was hard when it came to that.

Well, it's the hardest I've found, and I haven't played the final mixes. The reason I say it's hardest, aside from just general stuff, is probably because I hate grinding, which includes grinding for good commands. I'm sure if you got good commands from the beginning it wouldn't be nearly so tough.
That said, it's also one of the slowest levelling ones I've found yet. I'm 100%ing the game on standard, and I beat the final bosses of each character around low 30s, as opposed to the 40s to 50s most of the other games required for the fight to be somewhat easy.

I beat two and a half worlds on Proud before restarting the game on Critical and keeping the No EXP ability on for most of the game. I still allowed myself to level occasionally... because I LIKE leveling. Haha. But yeah, it was way too easy on Proud for me with the level gains coming fairly fast(Funny that I seem to have the opposite impression Pryth did. I don't think you actually level slower in this game, I think the game's world visits are just generally shorter than the console ones, so you don't gain as many per world). No EXP made things a lot more interesting in boss fights, especially since it took me until the final boss of my first character run to figure out that I could manipulate Shotlocks for invincibility time during boss supermoves. ^^; Live and learn.
But yeah, what Shinn said. Fun fun fun. One fun for each character.

I wouldn't say it's hard at all. xD I'm doing rather ok with it. I've only beat Terra so far, but that's because there are gaps in my gaming. >>; I really like it. ^^

To be honest, you don't need to grind much to get good abilities. Just play the Command Board and you'll get most of the rare abilities. The rest is just experimenting and trial and error.
Too bad though Bilbo that this game can't be online. I would have loved to have beat you in some versus mode using Terra. Although I have more abilities with Ven. Oh well maybe if the next NEXT Kingdom Hearts game is a console version, it will have it.

I have no doubts about your ability to kick my butt, Shinn, regardless of your character choice. XD
I finally finished the story last night. ^^ I think the game has some truly awesome bosses. Especially Terra's final. Man that was freaking sweet. Am I right?
Yes I know, no spoilers. ^^; Just saying, when it came to the bosses, the game didn't disappoint me.

Hey the way I use Terra makes up for whatever flaws you think he has.
Terras was interesting to find out the first time I went through with him [in the Jap version mind you] but I liked Aquas bosses. Vens were pretty good although since I had Ragnarok they made it way too easy.

Well, I suppose the reason I claim it's the hardest KH game yet isn't because it's actually that hard. XD
It's because the other games are so ridiculously easy if you play them properly.
Anyways, Terra is my personal favorite, and, for my playing style, the best character for me.

Yeah, there's three characters, and you can play each character's story.
Nomura recommended, for the least amount of plot spoilage, to play Terra-Ventus-Aqua, I believe. I may be remembering that incorrectly.
You can always play multiple stories at once, switching between them every so often. *shrug*

Oh I didn't mean you could beat me "despite" using Terra. I meant you could probably beat me with any of the of three. Haha.
