Appearance: Squall, only imagine a more friendly facial expression, and no facial scar. For now…
Personality:•General Persona: Squall is generally a laid-back sort of guy. He’s dutiful and determined, though he occasionally lets things slide, either by his own doing or with some persuasion. He’s had a happy life, and the effect of that have left him a pleasant someone, though he is quiet in voice and actions. He loves hanging out with his friends when he’s not working his way up the “knight ladder”, and honestly he’s with them more often than not. He does help his parents out though with housework and repair, but that never takes up that much time. Besides, he doesn’t live with his parents anymore, but one of the most important things to him is making them proud. He’s a natural guardian of things important to him, which is why he makes such a good knight-in-training.
•Inner Thought Process: Squall feels as though he can protect everything. Surely, with him around nothing bad can happen to what he cares about, right? It’s not that he’s arrogant; he just imagines that nothing so bad can happen that he can’t somehow overcome, with or without help. He’s well-trained. He’s disciplined. He’s…good. Good always wins…
•Fears: Despite the “knowledge” that he can protect everything, it is his worst fear to fail. Perhaps his mind often refuses to consider it because it is such a huge fear. He avoids it. Squall hates to feel inadequate. The idea of failing; failing to protect all he loves (his home, family, friends etc) may be the only thing he’d have night terrors about. That, and maybe Yuffie.
•Pleasures: Squall enjoys nearly everything about life. He enjoys hard work, the kind that makes you crazy tired afterwards, but also makes you feel accomplished. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, whether they have anything planned or not. He likes to fix things that are broken. Training is tough, but something he finds pleasure in, just like the thrill of a battle. Possibly his biggest pleasure is guarding everything in his world, and becoming a knight in the castle is a close second. Oh yeah, he also likes Aerith’s cooking as well as tea from time to time.
•Quirks: Squall, despite being good at many things, can’t do laundry to save his life. He’s ruined many a white shirt trying to clean them, and while it’s safe to say Squall wearing a too-tight white crop-top is amusing to some, the guardian fails to truly find the humor. He can’t stand to see something broken. When frustration hits, it’s easy to tell because he always falls silent and brings his fingers to the bridge of his nose, often closing his eyes. Also, at times his intense dedication to things can be quite the quirk..But With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
History:
The History of Squall Leonhart is not the most interesting in the world.
Once upon a time, there was a family by the last name of Leonhart. It was the classic story of man meets woman at a tea house in Radiant Garden, man marries woman, woman has a little boy with a hero complex who was affectionately named Squall. Little Squall was a quiet baby, rarely crying at night or putting up any fuss. By the time he could speak coherently, he had already armed himself in construction paper armor with loads of tape, a trusty, brand new wooden sword hanging at his side. It birthday gift from his father…he beat the crud out of that thing. Usually his “missions” revolved around a little girl in pink that lived nearby; his best friend. She was often the damsel in distress of his pretend scenarios, and after an intense battle to save her, there were always cookies and milk. Squall was born a protector, even if his own childish way was playing the heroic knight, fending off the evil wooden chair dragon from his unsuspecting mother. His father was not so pleased when he vanquished the monster…they just didn’t make a chair of that quality anymore… But his boy was strong for sure. Oh, how proud he’d be if his boy became a knight in the castle…
And so he did.
While only in his teens, Squall had grown out of his paper-knight days and was feeling rather useless. He needed a purpose, something to keep himself disciplined. He had so much duty and longing to make a difference, it was the logical next step for him to go into the knight training program at the castle. He was possibly the youngest of the bunch, but he excelled. He’d give his parents something to be proud of. True, the training and work of it all took up a lot of his time, but he still made sure not to neglect his family or his friends. He had nothing to protect if he didn’t have them.
Though still in training, Squall soon became a man, and thus was trusted with the task of guarding the princess of the castle. Honestly, he took it lightly at first; the princess was rarely seen, so it seemed like making sure she was safe in her room would be an easy task. Too bad there was a roughneck kunoichi running about, teaching her all these bad habits…like sneaking out. The first time he caught them he nearly had a coronary, but even though he gave his best efforts it was impossible to keep those two young girls in that room. It was frustrating for sure, but over time he formed a friendship with the princess and a begrudging tolerance for the ninja, letting their adventures slide with some persuasion from his best friend. It was the only way to keep his frayed nerves intact.
