Cool. Thanks a bunch.
You mustn't be so quick to give up on these debates, sir. I've had to spend over a week just to get to the point where I could even talk to you about these things. Might as well take another day or two, eh?
I put "normal" in the quotation marks for a reason. I don't mean normal as in "incapable of fighting" or anything like that, but normal as in a character who claims to get by on nothing more than his own skills and strength. Imagine, for example, Wolverine (no adamantium) vs. Batman (no gadgets). They are both master martial artists who've spent large portions of their lives traveling the globe and learning myriad different styles, but one has a healing factor (and all the Necessary Secondary Mutations that go with that). They both have a set of skills that few/no people could ever possess, so neither is in that sense normal; however, one is "normal" (meaning 100% pure, unadulterated Human), and one is genetically different. If you ignore the genetic difference, you ignore part of the character.
I have to say, man, you're fighting a losing battle on this point right here. You can't just wipe everything clean and expect that to stop anyone from being special. Cloud is, canonically, special. The Princesses of Heart are special. Anyone who can wield a keyblade is special. You've chosen to run the wrong kind of site if you want to run a world in which people aren't born special. If you want to do what you're doing, you'll have to remove keyblades completely ('cause anyone who has one implicitly has a stronger heart than anyone who doesn't), kill Sephiroth ('caue every method I use to try and save him with heavily modifying his character is summarily thwarted), and remove the Princesses ('cause everyone else has to be vulnerable to darkness). Canon or non-canon, destiny, fate, and chance play a huge part in the Kingdom Hearts world, and the fact that you're trying to just take that out may be the reason why I'm still the newest member <_< .
EDIT: And I don't mean to imply that Cloud is the only non-keyblade wielding non-Princess that is special. He's just the person we're talking about right now >_< .

It's not... argh. Let me figure out how to phrase this.
Ok.
The reason I wish to give up on this debate is every objection I raise is summarily discarded and not given full attention. At least, from your arguments that is the only way I can take it.
Secondarily, normal in the sense you're using it... yes, Cloud isn't normal in that sense. However, it isn't proven he's physically superior by terms of his genetics in KH (heck, Squall wields a blade just as heavy and large.) It is his wing that is unusual.
As for the losing battle... I phrased that wrong. What I don't want is someone to get the excuse to set someone up as special based on something that isn't a part of their own actions. All your examples AREN'T by virtue of birth, by that matter. Sora had a strong heart, the Princesses of Heart had pure hearts. Their own actions would have shaped those hearts, however. So, what I'm going for isn't taking away special... it's allowing everyone to become special by what they do, not who they are.
...I'm not even going to comment on the 'newest member' thing. That's pretty close to an outright insult.

I disagree. I am examining your points very thoroughly. This would all be meaningless otherwise. I want to get through this, and while I want to do so respectfully and tactfully, I do not want to bastardize this character in the process. It was my understanding that the whole purpose of the audition was to prove that I was capable of avoiding such an action. If I change Cloud's abilities, I must change his story. If I change his story, his personality must change. If his personality changes, I did not portray the correct character in my audition. I'm willing to grant that he is not necessarily genetically different. But, it cannot be ignored that wielding that sword of his is an impressive feat; even his journal entry states that much, setting aside its mention of him being a SOLDIER. As for your claim about Leon, I'm gonna need to see some visual proof of that. The gublade is larger than a normal sword, yes, but it is nowhere near as big as the Fusion Sword or the Buster Sword. Also, we must remember to account for mass and density in our calculations. I'd ask you to provide proof of this claim as well, but I really don't think any is available. Suffice it to say that there's not really anything two fourteen-year-old boys living on an island can do to make their hearts strong...I really can't think of any way to make my point more clearly. I mean, can you honestly think of something that two island boys could do to strengthen their hearts to so legendary a degree that they respectively earn the right to be called "chosen one(s)"? The same goes for the Princesses. While some of the Disney ones did lead difficult lives, I don't recall there being any implication that they took any steps to purify their own hearts. In fact, the evidence suggests that they were born that way. And, even if we retcon that as well and say that it is not an inborn trait, then why is it that only seven women in the entire universe can pull this off? What did they do to set themselves apart? Granted, I don't think it by any means impossible to strengthen hearts, but some are inherently stronger than others. Those seem to be the ones that keyblades are attracted to. Yes. Yes it did. Hopefully, when this is all over, we can put this mess behind us .

Nox. Prythian is the admin. He said no.
That's it. Final. You might say you're contributing to the site by simply being here, but defying the admin doesn't do a damn thing.
Either you comply, or you continue to be a jerk because you can't compromise.
Prythian is the admin. Prythian is the admin. Prythian is the admin.
Submit to the way things work here, or find some place with a staff that will let you do whatever you want.

...
Brezzen, for future reference, don't interfere when I'm already handling something.
That said, Brezzen's interruption got me back on track.
It's not my job to explain what I'm trying to do on DS, though I usually will.
It's not my job to tell you what to do to fix your character, only give out recommendations.
It's my job to tell you when something is unacceptable. Your two Customs are unacceptable. Fix them.
...And do remember one Custom Weak is a freebie, and therefore you still have Shop Credits to spend.

Mm. No thank you. In truth, I'm surprised you didn't say this earlier. It's about as much as I expected from you, to be honest. I'll have you know that I am about the furthest thing from a jerk there is. As I implied to Mr. Brezzen up there in my latest PM, it's been years since a group of admins (or really, just the one admin) has given me trouble like this for any reason, and this is not the best site, the most detailed site, the most well-designed site, or the best [insert anything here] site I've been on in that time. I also said that it perhaps has the most interesting KH premise. He knows I said it, so I figure the admin should at least get that much of a compliment from me whether or not the one in question is the one who came up with it (I honestly don't know whether it was you or the previous head admin). I am sorry, though. Sorry that things had to fall into place this way, and sorry that I had to look like the bad guy here. As I said, I'm not a jerk (though him calling me that makes me wanna do that dance xD), especially considering that I've been nothing but polite this entire time. But, I'm not going to waste my time or yours anymore. This ship was sinking before I got to it (I've been on many sites in my time, and when an admin leaves and/or power changes hands, they always die very quickly). I tried to ignore my experience, deny that truth, and do what I could to help save the site anyway, but truth, as usual, got tossed back into my face. So sink, Dream Sequence, and fade into oblivion. Or use this experience to ignite that fire that'll allow the administration team to hold it afloat. I'd love to come back in a month or so and see the place thriving. I won't join again, mind you, but like I said, the premise is very interesting. It would say something very positive if the site itself lived on. Logic, history, and your own desires stand against you, though. To succeed, you'll have to get past all that. I sincerely wish you the best of luck . Time for me to go site-hopping xP .
