Appearance: Bart
Personality:•General Persona: Bart always keeps himself composed and formal on the outside. Raised in a realm of strict regulation, the young man is easily swayed by the traditional ideals of proper etiquette, honour and chivalry. He is a quiet boy who is usually thinking more often than not, easily slipping to the back of groups when he is not the main focus. Bart is also a very single-minded child who easily locks onto a single task and devotes a lot of effort into accomplishing it until it is done. He is shy when forced out of formality and not very good at accepting praise, though criticism he takes easily.
•Inner Thought Process: Bart focuses his thoughts onto one task at a time, keeping himself going by dividing his time, both small and large, into "steps" in this manner. When forced outside of a focus Bart is a bit disorganized in his mind, slipping onto tangential thoughts easily. Sudden reactions also interrupt previous trains of thought easily, causing him to lose them completely.
•Fears: Bart fears punishment: To have pain or displeasure purposefully inflicted upon him in direct result of actions that he has taken. Because of this he is indecisive when it comes to things that aren't clear-cut in their results and might affect other people negatively.
•Pleasures: The young apprentice genuinely enjoys his mystical craft. Easy spell he casts is deeply appreciated and every force of nature he calls to his aid is gratefully thanked. Because of his elemental magic Bart is very close to nature and enjoys soaking in the beauty and air of environments not yet tampered with by civilization.
•Quirks: Because he is used to thinking or listening, Bart often goes without speaking entirely when around others. Unless he is the center of attention or asked a clear, direct question then it is easy for him to be present for a meeting or conversation and still say nothing. But With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
History:
Despite being born into a world of perpetual sunset, Bartholomew Kildrey has spent much of his life observing the night sky and the countless stars that dot it.
Within the realm of Twilight Town is a rumour of a Ghost Train, which appears at their station unannounced and leaves according to no schedule, yet can take no passengers. Little do they know that the train isn't ghostly at all, but rather magical. If allowed to ride it they would find that the Ghost Train's tracks appear as needed, guiding the vessel up into the atmosphere around the world. There are only a few places that can be reached by this train, floating chunks of land masses hidden even from the sight of Twilight Town's most powerful telescopes. Among these few and scattered islands in space is a place called the Twilight Monastery.
Within the walls of the Monastery was Bartholomew born. He was raised by his loving parents in a very formal community. In the Monastery were monks who practiced communion with nature. This was, in fact, the very purpose of the society itself. Beyond the hustle and bustle of the world below the monks learned to harness the spirits of nature in the form that is commonly referred to as magic. This was not done in the pursuit of power or for the advancement of culture, but out of a belief that life was simply more whole when one was in tune with the spirits. The more magic one could control the closer to nature they were believed to be, and the most learned of all held the position of Abbott. This leader of the Monastery held responsibility for overseeing the people who lived within his land and the teaching of the next generation.
It is not wrong to say that Bartholomew was an apprentice monk from the very beginning of his life. Born to a high-ranking father in the circle of masters he was able to cast a spell of the five major elements(Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Lightning) by time he was twelve. Though they were not all that impressive in themselves, it was rare for a monk to have an aptitude for each element at once, often favouring one or more over others. Given his lineage high hopes were placed upon the son of Kildrey to become a master the Monastery could be proud of in the future.
When Bartholomew was thirteen his father left the Monastery on the Ghost Train. He was to undergo a routine pilgrimage and travel to the proper realm of Twilight Town, communing with nature closer to the heart of the world before returning to the farther but calmer lands above it. The pilgrimage was to last two months. It has been two years since Bartholomew last saw his father.
Though the Abbott protested the boy's obvious true intentions, Master Kildrey's son pushed forward in his training at a much higher pace from the time he was fourteen and his father had been missing for a year. Though far from a master, the apprentice monk took his control over the five elements to the point that he was officially entitled to his first pilgrimage to Twilight Town. Many monks had gone in search of Master Kildrey and none had ever found the smallest hint as to his whereabouts or the reason for his disappearance. Bartholomew clearly wished to expedite his mastery of magic for the sole purpose of taking his own journey below and seeking out the answers for himself. After much consideration the Abbott granted his official permission and the child boarded the Ghost Train at the age of fifteen, unaware of what trials would await him below.
