Enamon stepped forward as well, attempting to draw the attention of the enemies. "You can't beat us, you know. We're the most powerful duo you'll ever meet! SHOW ME YOUR STRENGTH!" Enamon let out his battlecry, bolstering Alabaster. He also aimed the force of his presence at Captain Shay when he let out his battlecry, hopefully preventing him from doing any attacks. Lastly, he slammed one fist down on the ground, cracking it and raising up a boulder in front of him.

And suddenly, out of nowhere, something which was able to be predicted by none occurred. Several dark portals opened, releasing from their depths several more dark creatures. These were Shadows, Heartless in their weakest state, but it was a storm of them. Metaphorical storm, that is. The creatures looked hungry, but these creatures were not hungry for what you might think, no, Heartless were not partial to the foods of humanity. No, these creatures fed upon hearts, and the darkness that lay within. And the men of Port Royal...the darkness within their hearts was prolific indeed.
Half of the mass stood there staring while the other half charged forward, swarming the group of men, claws flying. Of course, the men could easily turn and run, but since when were the men of Port Royal cowards? Never, that was when. These men always fought the foe that faced them. No matter what. And the foe that faced them was attacking them en masse. [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8]

Alabaster looked up with a comical suddenness, pointing behind Shay and Hart's backs. The two ship captains turned on heel to immediately see their enemies, and although surprised, the people of Port Royal were hardened against conflict, by salt-spray and blood. Alabaster quickly changed targets to the small buglike creatures. Differences could be set aside in the name of continued existence, couldn't they after all? "Enamon! Watch the black things! We'll take care of them first!" He was already considering the possibility of removing Shay and Hart from the picture in the midst of the battle, but he'd have to gauge these monster's strength first. Alabaster moved forward alongside Shay, Hart across the road from them, leaving a large gap in the middle. If Enamon so chose he'd have enough room to launch his boulder through there, or take up a stance alongside the other men. Alabaster's rapier whipped through the air immediately as the enemies came within arm's reach, some 3 times in quick succession at any available opportunity, slashing in wide arcs to catch any heartless in arm's reach. Although he was only a trainee in the art of his blade, his skill would be felt on these heartless's pelts. But what was truly bolstering his abilities was the Focus his mind was undergoing, channeling his attention to detail into the downfall of these cretins. [hp=42/42] Shay and Hart glanced at each other before looking behind at the time Alabaster brought to attention the now-arriving monsters. Hart grimaced, and Shay's jaw tightened, as they were caught between a rock and a hard place. They very well couldn't leave this post in retreat, and at current they were locked between two enemies. Excellent. At least the drunkard seemed a capable fighter, and after dealing with this heartless menace, they might be able to find a way out of this mess. Shay's strategy and Hart's strategy differed greatly from each other. Shay would maintain this position with Alabaster, acting as deadly wall. His rapier, with the skill of a trainee, would guard against any heartless that would get near enough to pose a threat, although he was still reeling from the shock of Enamon's first cry. He would gain a free attack at the behest of Alabaster's battlecry. Hart on the other hand, did no waiting. He rushed forward immediately with his thickly bladed saber, giving the heartless little time to react to his own onslaught. As a full-fledged student of the blade, his whipping saber would serve as a cruel tutor for these monsters. He would make as many attacks as possible before they reacted to his presence. Up above on a rooftop, some shingles shifted to the ground, and clattered. There was the one who had just escaped. First Mate Gibbons, took aim upon the heartless and fired off a shot which had similar qualities to the spell Fire.[/blockquote] [hp=24/24] [hp=32/32] [hp=18/18]

((For the purposes of letting this thread move forwards once more, I'm ignoring the possible canon mishap of a shot that acts like Fire. Won't happen again after this thread, though.)) Enamon quickly shifted his attention. "Yes, Alabaster." He rumbled, sending the boulder flying forwards into the gap that had been left for him. It would deal about average damage to whatever it managed to hit in its flight path. He charged forwards directly after it, one hand grabbing his maul. He would not likely reach the creatures before the other men, but when he did, he would swing his maul around to try and catch several of them with the full force of his might, coupled with him being a student of blunt weaponry.
