'Stupid old wizard better keep his mouth shut,' Yuffie thought with worry as she rushed through the streets of Radiant Garden. Normally her ability in Basic Parkour would be put to better use crossing rooftops to get to her destination faster, but today being spotted was the last thing she needed. The ninja had donned her casual sneakers, black pants and green and white sweater to stay as inconspicuous as possible, it's hood even pulled up despite the relatively warm weather.
If there was anybody besides Merlin that Yuffie could think of to ask for help she certainly would, but he was closer and sneaking in to find Kairi would take too long. She certainly couldn't let the other ninjas find out about this either.
'Where's a helpful magic student when you need one?'
And just as Yuffie thought that, who should she run into around the corner other than...

…Jillian of course. Who else would it be?
”Oof!” The amateur ice mage staggered back a few steps before bumping into a crate and falling into a sitting position on top of it. Lucky. ”Ow.” She mumbled, rubbing her shoulder. Her blue eyes looked up and tried to make contact with the person she bumped into. Jillian had been watching where she was going for once, but that had hardly helped. At least it wasn’t her fault this time. It was a nice change to a regular occurrence.
”You alright?”

"Hey! You!" came a relieved-sounding voice. The girl responsible for the bumping knelt down in front of the now-sitting Jillian and smiled broadly. The ice mage might remember the face from their one time meeting in the park a while ago, during which Yuffie had not offered her name. What she wouldn't recognize the ninja from would be their occasional sparring matches in which her face was concealed. "Jillian right?"

She raised one of her eyebrows. ”Yea?” Jillian said, seeming confused. ”Do I know you?” She asked, trying to get a better look at the girl in front of her. Her eyes widened momentarily when she made the connection. ”Oh yea! I remember you. From the park, right? I never caught your name.” She got to her feet and brushed herself off. Her expression returned to one of confusion. ”Umm. What’s up?” She asked.

"Yeah that's me," Yuffie said, grabbing Jillian's shoulders and coming in closer to face her.
"Hey.. listen," she began, trying to sound downtrodden all of a sudden, which didn't match well with her perkiness at their meeting. "You'd be willing to lend a hand to a fellow magic student in trouble, right?"
Yuffie was banking on the possibility of Jillian not recalling that last time the ninja had called Jillian's brand of magic inferior to what she was studying.

”Uhhh…” She tried backing up. The personal space alarm in her head was going off on full power, but it stopped when she heard that the girl needed help.
Jillian shrugged. ”Why not? I don’t have anything to do today.” Of course she remembered Yuffie had called her magic inferior. Luckily, Jillian wasn’t one to say no to someone who needed help, and she had also blamed the comment on the fact that the girl had been frustrated with her frequent failure. ”What exactly do you need help with?”

"Don't worry about the details right now," Yuffie said unconvincingly with a wave of her hand. The ninja grabbed Jillian's right arm with her left and and began to run back the way she had come, dragging the girl along with her. "I'm sure it'll be right up your alley."

”Uhhh, ok?” Her face was scrunched up in uncertainty but allowed herself to be pulled along anyways. Once she got her legs working she managed to keep up with Yuffie quite easily. The girl wasn’t stupid, so Jillian wasn’t that worried about what she was in store for. But she had a feeling it would be rather unique…

Yuffie led Jillian back through town toward the outskirts. Eventually she let go of the girl's arm and allowed her to follow on her own once the ninja was sure that the ice mage wasn't trying to get away. As blue stone cliffs began to surround them Yuffie led Jillian toward an out-of-the-way cave.

It was more comfortable being able to run without being held. She lagged behind her companion a little so she wouldn’t accidently get in the way. ”Where are we going?” Jillian asked once they were surrounded by the blue cliffs. When they neared the cave, Jillian got more confused. What help would Yuffie need in a cave?

"Kind of a secret place," Yuffie said, slightly nervously. She rushed inside and found her way by the light outside to a large stone in the wall in the cave. When she rolled it aside it revealed a small tunnel.

Jillian looked concerned. Yuffie’s nervousness didn’t really help placate her guts. ”You don’t say.” She commented flatly as the girl rolled the large stone away. This was wayyyy weird. A lot weirder than what she had in mind.

"Follow me," Yuffie said as instruction before she pulled out a piece of paper that lit up on fire at the end to serve as a torch. The ninja knelt down and began to crawl ahead through the small space.

Jillian was unsure, but followed anyways. Everything told her she should hightail it out of there, but still she kept crawling forward, following this mystery person that wouldn’t even give a name. ”Can I worry about the details now?” She inquired.

"Well, ah... last time we met you showed me your stick's ice enchantment right?" Yuffie asked, setting up her continuation. She knww she had to be careful not to reveal any more about Jillian than the stranger from their one random park meeting would know.
