Time for something so large, we can't make the decision by ourselves without your input!
Behold, the system of... Canon Diaries!
Unfortunately, as people come and go, characters are dropped. While this may not pose a problem for Original Characters, it does for Canons. Canons are available to everyone, so should someone want to pick up a dropped Canon, what would happen? Would that Canon just start from scratch? Of course not! Instead, we’ve come up with a very suitable solution to prevent breaches of continuity, Canon Diaries.
Essentially, in a board, each Canon would have to have a single thread, and each post would represent another player in the 'chain' of people who have played that Canon. Each post would have the entries in the diary, a collection of finished threads and their summaries.
This is how an entry would look:
Example Url
Summary: <Canon> meets and befriends <Character>
Pretty nifty, eh?
Now, for what happens to the Used Canons when dropped... When a Canon is dropped, its entire profile will be kept, stored safely away should someone want to pick the poor dear up. So when a Used Canon is picked up, the new owner will have everything that the previous owner obtained on that Canon.
In all fairness, when someone auditions for a Used Canon, the requirements will be different. The audition will be judged more strictly than a fresh Canon due to the fresh Canons allowing for a little more freedom. Also, the required amount of posts to audition for a Used Canon will be 50 posts instead of 15.
Please ask any questions on clarification before voting if you do not completely understand the system.
