Appearance: Shinji is easily recognizable by his bone-thin body; he’s not anorexic, but he’s so skinny that he looks to be so His common attire consists of a button-up shirt, a necktie(usually striped, but he has others), an overcoat, black shoes and a pair of business pants. His straight blonde hair is in a bowl cut with two gaps in his bangs a little to the right and left of his eyes, and he’s often seen with a strangely styled hat, looking distinctly French. It’s often commented that Shinji has a rubber face, as in he can give almost any expression he wants. His clothing colors vary from day to day, but there seems to be a monthly pattern to his outfittings.
Personality:•General Persona: Out in the open, Shinji comes off as being rude and obnoxious, but that’s just his way of putting things. He’s your average guy at first glance; likes to do nothing, prefers to watch others than do, etcetera. However, Shinji is very complex on the inside; getting a true understanding of his personality takes many, many years to even begin to understand. Despite this, Shinji shows himself to be a kind man. He likes kids, and often makes funny faces at passing children(Or just about anyone, actually). It’s impossible to tell if he’s being serious or not.
•Inner Thought Process: Deep down, Shinji takes great joy in making people think he’s nothing like they remember him to be. A master actor, he can switch from his usual upbeat, snarky, loud-mouthed personality to almost any one he chooses. He’s actually a great businessman, and he’s inwardly serious, even if his outer appearance never says he is. He’s really a nice guy deep down, and he considers most of his pseudo-insulting comments to be nothing more than humor, though others don’t think about it like that. He’s one of the hardest people to read in terms of emotions; you can never tell if he’s being serious or not, but he usually isn’t. He’s actually a lot braver than he puts himself out to be, and is just as noble as any other hero, even if he never shows it to anyone. He also holds a great deal of respect for his father. It’s often noted that Shinji is incredibly creative, as can be witnessed in his amazingly unique, beautiful swords when he feels like making the next of his ‘Shinji Signature’ line of swords. He’s considered to be a master blacksmith by the quality and originality of the blades.
•Fears: Falling into an open sewer manhole, impaling himself with a pickle spear, tripping over someone else’s untied shoelace, losing his house key.
•Pleasures: Messing with people’s heads, selling things, sparring, drawing, reading, driving people up the wall.

Primary Weapon Description: Shinji’s weapon of choice is a strange weapon that seems to be a sword of some kind. It looks like a sword blade, but near the ‘hilt’ it becomes a dull square of metal with several small holes down the block’s length, leading down to an open circle where the hilt should be. Oddly, the weapon doesn’t have a proper hilt, instead using magical energy to remain in the wielder’s hand. The magic energy can extend a maximum of two feet to accomodate Shinji's unique fighting style, otherwise he'd have lopped off half his head many times.

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
[/b][/size][/center][/u]History: Shinji Kuro is the owner of one of Radiant Garden’s most prominent weapons repertoires, and an old friend of Cloud Strife, one of the few people to be able to read Shinji’s real feelings. Shinji was the only person persistent enough to actually track down Cloud and make friends with him, back in grade school, and even then Shinji was just as rude acting as he is now. Cloud usually stayed at a distance, but he was nevertheless a friend of his. Unlike his friend, Shinji had little interest in joining the castle guard, instead opting to inherit his father’s then-backwater weapons store when he retired. Shinji quickly changed his dad’s policies and made the shop into a smash success, to the point that Shinji became one of Radiant Garden’s number one weapons suppliers, complete with a weapons contract to supply the Castle Guard with armaments. A supplier of everything from guns to swords to shields and everything in between, Shinji’s shop is often the first stop for those aspiring to join the Castle Guard, or anyone who wants one of his rare, hand-forged signature swords.
Shinji’s also built up a bit of a reputation as a hero for one particular episode he was involved in, where a group of kids were being harassed by a group of drunks, who were beginning to steal things and harm people. Shinji put a stop to the event before the Guards even got there, and their marvel at his first hand-forged masterpeice of a sword was what got him a deal with the Castle Guard. It’s often suggested that he makes the best swords in Radiant Garden, with cutting edges that remain sharp for years, and don’t show any signs of rust or weakness over time. Even though he’s only been forging swords for about ten years, Shinji is renowned for his remarkable craftsmanship, and every blade he forges himself is considered to be a collectors item to be cherished, but they can be used with no damage whatsoever to their remarkable designs.
Shinji is also well liked. Since word has gotten around that he never means his insults seriously, he’s able to easily bring laughter to many of his customers, and he’s also got the reputation of being the kind of man you can count on, just like the blades he forges. Shinji’s father was also a blacksmith, but unlike Shinji, he never gave his blades individuality, something Shinji takes pride in. After Cloud returned to Radiant Garden after his four year absence, he asked Shinji to repair the old Buster Sword, which was beginning to rust and become dull. Shinji agreed, and didn’t charge him anything for it, and he reinforced the blade as well so it won’t go dull quite so easily. He also makes custom weapons when they’re requested and, depending on whether or not Shinji likes you, he might not charge anything for it. Because of his contract with the Castle Guard and how many weapons he repairs and sells, Shinji is fairly rich, though he prefers not to flaunt his cash. He’s yet to be introduced to any of Cloud’s friends.
