[Closed Quest, no guests, and speed's the game! Crazy/Cactuar only!]Phil let the field be used for freelancin' heroes-- junior and real deal-- on the weekends. Get an extra bit of munny here and there, what's the harm, right?
Today's Hero-in-Training was Yatusatari, aimin' to get some Heartless bashin' in. Phil brought 'er on back, sent her over to the arena, and hustled off the field.
He'd be close enough to stop any Heart-stealin', if worst came to worst.
"Now, lesse what we got here..." he muttered, looking over the roster of Heartless, rummaging through what might be a good start.
Hrn, he grunted. This one'd do.
"Okay kid, just remember not leave the arena!" he bellowed. "Hope you're ready!"
And it began.
Round 1 - First Line
5 Shadows [/size] Shadows would be the theme of the day, by the looks of it. Before Yatusatari was a straight line of 5 Shadows, all ready to attack.
And so they did! The whistle rang out, and the five charged forward. [hp=8/8]

Yatusatari muttered to herself, hefting her massive sword and swinging it in a wide arc as soon as the shadows came in range, following up with a sweep kick and a palm thrust from the prosthetic limb at one of the beasts. 5 Shadows
[/size] The sweeping sword blow didn't quite reach all of the Heartless, but it managed to send most of the back flying. The one that Yatusatari missed got in a quick scratch in as she was charging for the first of the Heartless. [ -4 HP ]
The three Shadows that only got the sword blow ducked for the ground, becoming literal shadows in the broad sunlight, and aimed for a sweeping charge around the attacking Yatusatari, not yet coming up to make that attack.
The Shadow hit so furiously would charge forward in a not-so-great leap to make another scratch unless Yatusatari managed to defend herself in time. [hp=2/8]

[hp=14/18] Yatusatari didn't bother with a defense; she gripped the secondary hilt of her sword and sent the blade ramming into the leaping Heartless, presumably defeating it. She hefted her sword again, keeping it ready for another round of attacks when the shadows decided to show themselves again. [Recap: Attack; Shadow 1 x Guard; preparing counterattack. [/size] Poof went the leaping Shadow as it met cold, hard steel.
However, Yatusatari had neglected the Shadow still at her back. It took the opportunity rather well, getting in a free blow once more. [ Down another 4 HP! ]
Two of the three shadowed Heartless rose from the ground to resume the attack, one at each of Yatusatari's sides, while one Shadow remained below ground. The two on the sides then charge forward once more. [hp=0/8]

(If you're not more specific next time, I'm calling BS >  ) [hp=10/18] Yatusatari swung her massive sword by the second hilt, preforming a spin attack that turned into a second sweep kick before she jumped backwards, flipping the sword around into a backhand grip in defensive fashion. "Oi, I've been outta practice too long..." She muttered, mentally berating herself for not noticing that shadow. [/size] [ Made a mistake-- Shadows only do 1 damage. Go ahead and bump Yatusatari back to 16 HP. Be happy, neh? ^^ ]
All three nearby Heartless went flying at the sword blow, her following kick only managing to hit the last of the group before they were out of reach.
The three shook their heads, got to their feet, and zoomed for the ground in a shadowy motion that was very familiar at this point.
Meanwhile, the one that had been belowground rose to the challenge, and started for Yatusatari. [hp=4/8]

[hp=16/18] Yatusatari waited for the shadow to get close, the delivered a downward slice, throwing a punch at the monster from her prosthetic and jumping back a little after it was finished, rolling her shoulders. [/size] The Shadow took the hits with some knockback, which combined with Yatusatari's jump back, left the Shadows at a distance from the young warrior. Almost shrugging, the Shadows went back underground, taking the damage incurred with it. [ Shadow 3 sustaining 4 damage. ]
Meanwhile, the first of the two Shadows rose from the ground just short of Yatusatari. The two reached out to scratch...! [hp=4/8]

[hp=14/18] Yatusatari swung her sword at the shadows as she backed up a few steps, bringing her sword around to where the blade was standing straight up in the ground. She produced an explosive of some sort and struck the fuse, lobbing it at the two Heartless and yanking her sword out of the ground. Yatusatari's lobbed, makeshift explosion left the two Heartless in question thoroughly dazed with all the bright lights. There they stood, spinning their tiny little heads, unaware of the coming doom. The remaining Shadows, yet underground, remained as they were. They had no intention of leaving the field though, no sir! They twirled around a bit, perhaps a bit loopy, but still generally for Yatusatari's position. [hp=1/8]

Yatusatari's blade slammed the two spinning Shadows out of existence, sending two spurts of black mist skyward with the blows. The two hidden away Heartless, meanwhile, still seemed fairly nervous-- and rightfully so! Regardless, they trudged up to the 3D realm and shot for Yatusatari, intending to strike quick and get out, fast!
