“Hmph.” She moved her foot back to the ground. Maybe he wasn’t that stupid. He had been keeping her on her feet during the short time they knew each other, so she could be wrong again.
“Sounds about right.” Miribelle said simply, crossing her arms. Were the situation different, she might have helped him to his feet. Might have… [/blockquote]

Alair weakly got up, his back hurting him. Man, he wasn't as young as he used to be, obviously. He staggered a bit, getting off of the mysterious mount of hay. "What now," He asked rougly, his hand against his back.

Miribelle thought a moment as her hands fell to her sides. She raised one of her hands again and punched Alair in the shoulder. “You’re lucky you fell off that roof.”
“If you didn’t, you would’ve gotten worse than that.” She tried to sound threatening. She was still angry, so it probably was more convincing than she felt it was. The fall she saw him take shook her up a bit. They weren’t on the best terms, but she still didn’t want to see him dead. Not yet, anyways. [Permission for hit~]

Alair stumbled back from the impact, wincing a little and excepted something of a beating. But nothing came after but words.
He scoffed, "Yeah. Lady lucky smiled upon me tonight." He supposed it was best this way. As he had already considered, he didn't like attacking women. It just wasn't necessarily right. Other men didn't phase him. They were all monsters anyway.

She snorted, her arms crossed over her chest again. It seemed to be a comfortable position for her. As much as she wanted to beat him, she wasn’t going to. The fall seemed to serve well enough, and the punch made her feel better too. She wasn’t going to let him go off without something.
“You better hope I don’t catch you stealing in my bar again.” She told him. Oh, he was welcome to come back. If he did, it would have to be for a drink. She’d be keeping a close eye on him, so he’d be stupid to try again.

"I'll be sure to steer clear," He assured her. He never was sure when a conversation was over. Or how to leave one. They usually ended smoothly. But he felt awkward at this moment.

Her eyes narrowed as she watched him for a little while longer. It had really been a pointless chase, fueled only by her crazy temper. Ah well, at least the event had gotten her calmed down. Her mood was still crummy, but she’d be a little more relaxed for the remainder of the night.
Without another word, Miribelle turned and walked back in the direction of the bar. There was nothing more to do.
