 Sora returned Selphie's grin, pulling his wooden sword from his belt and brandishing it before taking his usual combat stance. "Okay, so here's the rules; the first person to hit the other five times wins, okay? Go!" He announced. That was the usual rule, unless someone wanted to go for longer, then they'd bump up the hit number and play again. Sora ran forward and swung his wooden sword at Selphie, aiming for her stomach. That was the good thing about this particular sword; it didn't hurt too badly when you were hit by it, so it was perfect for these little mock fights. [Recap; Attack] [hp=5/5] |

 Selphie didn't stay in a defensive position for long, it was more like a dodge ready stance and she jumped backward as Sora swung his wooden sword at her. She then let go of one of her handles and with her other hand swung her jump-rope at Sora. Using it as a sort of whip, "Ya!" she called as she swung it and then moved around; being ready for Sora's next attack.

Sora saw Selphie's jump rope coming, and ducked. But, his duck was a bit too late, and he ended up getting smacked in the head by it anyways. It really was a good thing they never used real weapons; that would've hurt a lot more if it wasn't a jump rope. But Sora didn't think about that; he just thought about doing his best with it and, hopefully, winning, as was a boy's nature. He ran forward and swept his faux weapon upwards in an attempt to get her with it. |

 Selphie was a bit surprised that she actually hit Sora and in the head as well. She got sidetracked for a moment and didn't see him coming at her again. Jumping backwards just a few seconds after Sora swung his weapon upwards, but she ended up getting hit in the arm before she could get well out of the sword's radius. "Ow!" she whined, stepping backwards some as she rubbed her arm. She then raised her jump rope over her head and swung it towards Sora as she charged forwards some.

Sora ducked to the side, letting the jump rope whip the empty space to his left as he ran forward as well, swinging his fake sword in an arc at Selphie's stomach. He wasn't going to let himself lose! |

Selphie's arm was extended out as she had tried to hit Sora but only managed to hit empty space. Her jump rope going whip for a second as she tried to dodged Sora's swing and got hit in the stomach. Knocking her back some, she grabbed her stomach with her free hand as she stumbled backwards. "Ugghh.." she moaned, then with her other hand that was on her whip, she flicked her hand to the left, then the right attempting to hit Sora with it.

Selphie's makeshift whip hit him square across his right arm, stinging as it should have, but it wasn't too bad. Not like she was hitting him with giant nunchucks or anything. Sora made another charge and aimed a swing for her legs, laughing. This was a lot more fun than it looked, even if it did hurt a little every now and again. [hp=3/5] |

 Selphie had no time to see if her attack hit Sora or not for he swung at her legs and she only barely managed to scrape by without his wooden sword hitting her. But, she managed to trip in the sand as she side stepped out of the way. She landed in the sand on her side. Atleast it wasn't face first. She looked over at Sora and smiled. She couldn't help but giggle. Sora sure had cheered her up! With finding her jump rope and all and then them play fighting.
She jumped up and dusted herself off. She looked over at Sora. Though this was fun she didn't really feel like playing it anymore. A kid's mind often changed a lot. Plus she was getting tired. Tilting her head to the side she asked, "Truce?" as she stuck her hand out towards him. She'd seen many adults do this before, shake someones hand in when they were agreeing on something. |

Selphie tripped, and Sora of course followed suit. Face first in the sand. Yet again. This kind of thing happened to him fairly often, actually; Riku or Wakka would move just before Sora hit them, and he'd put just a liiiittle too much into the swing, so into the sand he went. One time he'd gotten his whole head under the sand-- He'd been shedding sand from his hair for a week after that.
Sora sat up and dusted off his face (Making a point to avoid getting any in his eyes like another time), then Selphie offered a truce. Sora laughed and grinned back, shaking her hand. "Okay, truce! That was fun."

Selphie smiled widely at Sora. "Sure was!" she announced. She then realized that no one else had arrived yet. She looked around and then looked up at the sky. The sun was starting to set. She looked over at Sora, "I should head home..thanks for helping me find my jump rope, Sora!" she grinned.
She then ran off towards the dock, waving back at Sora.

"Glad to help! Bye, Selphie; see you later!" Sora called, waving goodbye to his friend. It was weird that neither Riku nor Wakka nor Tidus had come to the island today, but oh well. He figured he'd hang back a little while and practice swimming like Wakka had shown him the other day. He'd sit there just long enough to catch his breath, then he'd be off to the next activity, as was the case with Sora in his day to day life.
