Your Decisions Will Decide the Outcome of the Universe

Appearance: Sephiroth and Masamune. Currently Sephiroth is wearing a large brown cloak that covers his entire body.
Personality:•General Persona: The sight of this man garners only two measurable outcomes: the onlooker will feel very intimidated and will quickly move away, or they will find them self entranced with his appearance and compelled to be near him. Sephiroth has always been the chic, GQ man on the block, partly from his personality and coolness, and partly because he looks a little too perfectly handsome and conditioned. Strictly an elitist to everyone and comparably egotistical as well, Sephiroth holds arrogance in check by a very strong sense of duty to the task at hand. While it may not be apparent, Sephiroth enjoys teaching others the ways of a soldier and how to live and fend for yourself. Discipline and honor are immeasurably important qualities in how Sephiroth views people, and if found lacking, said individuals should be wary (and possibly watch their backs).
•Inner Thought Process: Sephiroth's inner world consists of a certain vendetta he holds from the past. While known only to him, it has the potential to draw all of Radiant Garden into chaos. Feeling wronged and betrayed, Sephiroth has no qualms whatsoever in exacting this revenge.
•Fears: Not measuring up to his own expectations, which has never happened.
•Pleasures: Teaching others, seeing his fame grow, revenge.
•Quirks: He has a really long stick? Oh and he could file for a disability claim with only one wing. But With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

Primary Weapon Name: Masamune
Primary Weapon Type: Bladed
Primary Weapon Description: Measuring in at six feet long, Masamune is as much a work of art and masterful craftsman-ship as it is a weapon of war and instrument of death. Legends of its cutting ability and indestructibility abound, and only Sephiroth can confirm which are true or not. What is clear about Masamune is that in the entire time Sephiroth has wielded it, it has never been chinked, shown a scratch, or needed to be sharpened. The sword is made specifically for Sephiroth and will only appear on his command; no one else should attempt wielding it due to its extreme length (which will end in futility for anyone else).

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
History:
At the height of his fame, Sephiroth was the greatest symbol of Radiant Garden's transition from an Authoritarian past mired in tradition that limited personal freedom, into a slowly weakening Monarchy with bubbling enthusiasm for a brighter future. A child from seemingly modest beginnings in a family of the middling class, his father was a mail office superintendent, while his mother was a well known artist. Their names are lost to time, as well as the vast majority of his mother's art due to a fire that gutted the family mansion; very little exists that details their existence and contributions to Radiant Garden consequently (which is quite unfortunate since his father had extensive records of the world's history). There was a very real division between Sephiroth's family and the rest of Radiant Garden, as his parents were strictly loyalists to the King and fervently opposed change.
Sephiroth was identified at birth as a biological anomaly, but more commonly called, the “miracle of man”, in terms of human development and physiology. His body in all respects is perfectly dimensioned and suited to be the most effective and efficient warrior imaginable. When Sephiroth's birth was made known to the general population of Radiant Garden on The Day of Light, he was celebrated and exalted as the bringer of light. Shortly afterward his parents were specially requested to put him into partial custody of the state of Radiant Garden so that he could enter the military academy. A special mentor, who was called The Argus, was summoned for Sephiroth, and the boy's destiny was set.
Sephiroth trained daily from infancy, under the supervision and instruction of The Argus, until his middle teen years. The true identity of The Argus is unknown (Sephiroth never learned their real name). During this time Sephiroth saw his parents very little, only spending time with them for the occasional dinner and in passing at home before going to training sessions at his mentor's residence. Seemingly every aspect of being a warrior and soldier were covered and poured into the young male, with extreme focus on swordsmanship, elemental manipulation, and strengthening of the mind and will. The most important gift Sephiroth received from his mentor was becoming the culture he was taught, adapting the lifestyle, and constant dedication to his trade.
One day during their training, Sephiroth was presented with the sword Masamune, crafted by none other than The Argus. Fittingly, only they knew Sephiroth well enough to craft such a blade that perfectly fit him. However, the impending completion of Sephiroth's training began to disturb The Argus. With Masamune in hand, Sephiroth seemed even more aware of how powerful he was. In a hasty, ill-conceived decision his mentor pushed Sephiroth harder, thinking Sephiroth would fall in line to the disciplined mindset that had been taught.
Nearing the end of their time together, Sephiroth cut the process short, when he demanded a duel. Why exactly he did so is not known, but apart from the practice matches that had been constant routine, Sephiroth had never seriously faced the skill of The Argus. This request was met with disgust and extreme disappointment; Sephiroth's mentor was well aware they would never have a pupil as gifted and advanced again, much less that such a talented swordsman ever be born again. The request denied, both mentor and pupil suspended training for a week in a mutual feud. The Argus, aware that the pupil would become more than a legend and almost akin to a god with what Sephiroth had been taught and how powerful he would still become, elected to leave. After the week long feud ended and the two met again, a few words were exchanged and Sephiroth's master seemingly disappeared from Radiant Garden.
Following the end of his training, Sephiroth returned to his parent's mansion to prepare for his entry into the Radiant Garden military academy. Just before Sephiroth's departure, a fire broke out in the anteroom of the mansion convention hall. The blaze could be seen from all of Radiant Garden proper, however the mansion's location prevented quick emergency action. In consequence, while Sephiroth was able to save his parents, they were both severely burned and left bed-ridden for the rest of their lives. Despite this, Sephiroth's re-entry into the public domain went ahead as planned.
At the age of 14, nearly full grown and widely anticipated by the whole of Radiant Garden, Sephiroth announced his planned entry into Radiant Garden's military academy to the public. Fanfare and adulation were rampant for weeks, up until Sephiroth's entry. However, once inside, life was entirely different from anything Sephiroth had encountered before. The current soldiers and trainees resented the singular attention he received from the public and military superiors. Yet, Sephiroth's past training and gifted physical makeup made the difference between his fellow trainees and himself worlds apart. In both years he went through the academy, Sephiroth received nothing but top marks, showing the ability to work with others and be able to think and act on his own with remarkable proficiency. This dedication to his eventual service to Radiant Garden won over most of his former critics in the academy, inspiring teamwork and harmony never seen before in all branches of the military. At the end of his second year, the top command of the academy knew that Sephiroth's time would be wasted training any longer according to the normal trainee plan, and so Sephiroth was offered the most esteemed position in all of Radiant Garden: Castle Guard Leader. At the age of 16, Sephiroth was the youngest executive command officer in the history of Radiant Garden, from the time before and during the Authoritarian rule and the new guidance under Ansem the Wise.
What was most well known about Sephiroth's service at the castle was the strict policy for absolutely no mistakes or errors in judgment by his soldiers. In response they performed admirably and without question, seeing Sephiroth as an icon and hero who would risk his own life for their well-being, willing to follow Sephiroth from one end of Radiant Garden to the other. Countless Heartless raids were repelled at Sephiroth's watch, some entirely destroyed by Sephiroth himself. Legend had it that in order to train adequately, Sephiroth would venture out into the world surrounding Radiant Garden and wait for Heartless hordes to come to him, often doing so for days in times when injuries to his soldiers were too numerous for his liking; though never proven, this rumor was taken as fact.
The most famous venture Sephiroth undertook was in forming the special force, Knights of the Radiant Order (KoRO), whose mission was to react first to all dangers to Radiant Garden, aiming to always be first on the battlefield. Formed at the beginning of his tenure as Castle Guard Leader, members of the order were trained under the same regiment Sephiroth subjected himself, and which was handed down to him from The Argus. It was said that one could tell a member from KoRO and the regular military instantly by the manner in which they carried themselves: an aura of power, tempered with humility, and fired by intense attention to discipline made these individuals among the most respected in all of Radiant Garden. KoRO was so successful in its line of duty that quite often the public did not know of their actions until several days afterward. This ability to execute and defend Radiant Garden created a culture and thinking amongst the people that they were safe and would continue to be so. Membership into the order was so fierce that less than 5% of the final year's applicants were accepted.
At the age of 20, Sephiroth was considered the greatest swordsman Radiant Garden would ever know. The title was reserved principally for him and it was considered taboo to refer to anyone else as such. Despite nearly unanimous support, the next two years would slowly cause Sephiroth to change. Elements of opposition and suspicion began to appear in the military towards Sephiroth, rumors flying about to what actually happened to his parents. Enemies no longer seemed to be just Heartless, but also small groups of the general public that sought to undermine and oust Sephiroth by tarnishing his reputation.
A day in which Radiant Garden was changed forever, and ironically enough Radiant Garden does not seem to remember, marked the Day of Light coinciding with Sephiroth's 22nd birthday. At some point in time Sephiroth went to his parent's mansion, and was seen later on entering the castle. Curiously enough both locations were on opposite ends of the city, and Sephiroth had let it be known he would spend the day quietly with his bed-ridden parents. Somewhere around noon the sky was filled with clouds, quickly turning black and beginning to swirl over the castle. Though reports were varied and mixed, and most likely many unreliable hearsay, the common sight in front of the castle was Sephiroth rising into the air before the castle with a single black wing. It was not known if Sephiroth disappeared after or before the calamity, but minutes after clouds filled the sky, a meteor shower fell upon the city. The chaos that ensued has left the past strewn in a confusing puzzle in which none can fit which event led to the next, and most especially why. In the months afterward, KoRO was dissolved.
Nine years have passed since Sephiroth subsequently disappeared. He was not blamed for the calamity on that Day of Light, but his disappearance left a gaping hole in the chain of command in the military and its ability to react to raids. The feeling towards Sephiroth since his apparent abandonment of Radiant Garden is confusion mixed with resentment. It is plausible that the RGPC was formed in part due to Sephiroth's departure, though there is no direct link to support this notion. What may be likely though is that the former members of KoRO trained members of the RGPC or encouraged their development. Today, former KoRO members keep to themselves (if still alive), estranged by their leader's disappearance.
Sephiroth's memory is largely a figment of the past today. His parent's mansion remains as an old boarded up home, secluded from the rest of Radiant Garden, avoided due to rumors of being haunted. What he was doing for nine years is a mystery only overshadowed by the fact that he has lost many of his former abilities and battle prowess. His arrival back into Radiant Garden has already occurred, but he will set the tone for publicly revealing himself. As for Sephiroth's motivation to return, a deep secret exists in the under current of Radiant Garden, and after years of self-exile, Sephiroth has come back to find out the truth for himself.
