Homeworld: Agrabah
Your Decisions Will Decide the Outcome of the Universe

Appearance: While Layla’s height and weight had once commonly been in a state of flux because of her ability to shape shift; at her binding this change became more or less moot as she was pretty much stuck with being short and light in weight. Born of the Jinn tribe though sometimes relabelled a Genie by mortals; Layla’s chosen form at the time of her sealing was of a young woman with a relatively slim built figure; giving the impression of frailness despite the Djinn’s extraordinary strength. Maturing as all Djinn do at a rapid pace compared to humans; Layla’s magical might is the equivalent of her family and as such effects her physical strength and speed to an extent.
Once capable of full body shape shifting; the sealing of her more potent abilities limit her now to slight alterations and colour changes to her own physical body. The usual however is for her to have extremely long black hair; with a copper band to secure the top of the braided hair that reaches to well below her knees with another one to secure the bottom. The rest of her hair; being a lot shorter then the back; are typically left to cascade about her head as the wind permits it. Her eye colour varies in tones of blue depending on her physical and mental state; though more often indigo then any other tone or variation.
Layla’s fashion sense is very much typical for Djinn that actively come into contact with mortals; closely resembling what would normally be a human dancers attire. Though not at the height of practicality in some climates and areas about her home world; for the desert areas and the city itself the lack of heat conservation isn’t truly a disadvantage. The only part of her overall attire of her own choice are a pair of partially translucent; baggy white silk pants with the hems of the leggings bound at about ankle level. Everything else of her attire on the other hand was forced upon her and act as the mediums that bind her.
Her bindings; all made of pure copper as it is the only material that Jinn find themselves inherently weak against; are enchanted against breaking though don’t truly provide her with much cover or protection. The pieces include a thick belt used to hold her trousers pants up; bracers on her forearms and bands on her arms; a band fitted about her neck and a final, larger band wider on the front then the back that acts as her sole chest covering. Having found them unnecessary previously; Layla has yet to acquire any footwear for herself now that she is forced to use more mundane forms of travel then flight.
Personality:General Persona: Layla; like most Djinn that come from the Jinn tribe; is fairly soft-handed when it comes to mortals unless threatened in some way. Though she had once been more reserved when it came to such interactions with entities not of her own design; the more recent turn of events has forced her to try and adapt to regular life alongside people she now finds personal distaste in. Despite her new found dislike of humans in general; she still manages to continue on as the soft-hearted, out and going person that she was before. Her softness of heart does also tend to drive her to help people who can’t help themselves for some reason or another. Unless the person in question showed some discipline in magic; though she may try to help them, she wasn‘t be at all as willing as in any other case.
Inner Thought Process: Internally, Layla is very much the same as she is externally; a generally outgoing, soft hearted and sometimes vengeful girl with a mind for helping those in need. She finds a personal loathing for people who create problems or complain over extremely minor things such as losing a hair brush; and though she doesn’t find herself capable of such things now she’d love nothing more but to change some peoples opinions on what is and isn’t difficult. Her general outlook on life colours her approach to situations and confrontations somewhat; working entirely on intense emotion over cold, unyielding logic. This does sometimes create unnecessary troubles and emotional pain when she jumps into a situation without first fully comprehending the facts; and though capable of fixing most issues there are some things even Djinn can’t repair on drive alone.
Fears: Sorcerers to an extent; though she remains stronger then most people who claim to be sorcerers on her home world, it was by a sorcerers hand that she found most of her strength bound. Djinn from hostile tribes prove more fearsome then sorcerers because of their inherently greater strength, coupled with her lack and therefore making her an easy target to them. Something she knows fairly well. Pure copper also ranks fairly high on the scale; being the only material she is vulnerable against.
Pleasures: Her original pleasures included flight and various feats of magical showmanship; including shape shifting; all of which she now finds herself limited or incapable of. Beyond that would be good food; though she doesn’t require sustenance as mortals do.
Quirks: A phobia of anything made of copper; though she has managed to maintain herself despite the many articles of her clothing made of copper, anything offered to her made of that particular material still manages to get a reaction out of her. Whether it be nervously moving or batting it away depend on her mood and how much copper there is in question. But With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

Strength: 5
Cunning: 20
Agility: 5
Abilities: [See below]
Weapons:
Weapons:
Primary Weapon Name: Seal Bracers
Primary Weapon Type: Unarmed
Primary Weapon Description: Though not a true weapon in their own right; the weight of the copper bracers on her forearms do add a great deal of force to her attempts at close range combat. Their presence is the main reason for her weakness compared to other Djinn; along with other such pieces that now make up her usual attire; as they limit her from accessing her usually vast reserve of magical energy and physical strength.

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
History: Born of the smokeless fire far away from human civilizations in the desert; Layla like all Djinn reached magical and therefore physical maturity within months of being conceived. Raised by the residents of the tribe that still remained separate of human societies; her life and years of mental maturity were simple enough because of an abundance of readily available resources and lack of creatures that could possibly stand in their way. It was great many years later when she was finally introduced to humanity; perhaps a lifetime later for a human depending on their profession; and it was then like others that she found herself drifting away from her previously secluded life to join the humans more and more frequently.
Being able to take a near perfect human form by that age; it wasn’t difficult for her to blend into society and live amongst them for small durations of time, with a few days being the longest period she’d ever spent in their presence. Life amongst them was easily enough lived; for those that kept their head down and didn’t cause much or any trouble, it was like being a ghost amongst the living. She did become ever more aware of how flawed human society was with each passing day as crimes for sustenance and greed happened frequently in market places, sometimes even peoples residencies. Her visits to capitals and smaller towns became mercy missions after a while; with people affected by theft having their possessions returned and those who needed food being provided for.
Her efforts amongst thieves and beggars were easily noticed of course; sometimes by authorities who couldn’t care less and other times by more ill-intent individuals. This gain of interest eventually led to her capture by a group of sorcerers; their methods of containment for her only being successful because of circumstance in their favour. Sealing her after had merely been a stroke of luck on the sorcerers part; having been able to discern her true name and using that along with her natural weakness to seal her powers until a time that they’d be able to harness them for their own ends. Mortals had a tendency of dying before their best laid plans ever got chance to come to fruition; and this time was no exception to the rule of thumb.
Having grossly miscalculated just how much power was needed to seal a more powerful specimen of a Djinn; Layla was left with enough power and the element of surprise as they allowed themselves to drop their containment spells. None of the people in that room at the time were ever seen or heard of again; no bodies or blood or anything to say they’d even existed in the first place. And Layla was left to her fractured life; incapable of breaking free of her shackles and knowing no such person who could possibly help in such matters. Only a few months have passed since the attempts to rob her of her magic took place; and in that space of time she had managed to find her way back to the capital Agrabah. As for freeing herself however, she was still pretty much at square one.
