TURN 13 The Darkside brought its fist down into the ground.
And through it, sending out a pool of gathering, growing darkness.
Prell blinked as three Shadows rose from the gathering darkness, not so far down and away, along the main street.
She was burned for the trouble, ruining her dramatic moment entirely. [ 8 damage from Fire Lv3! Lightning Bolt and Ice Arrow were too far away, though! ]
Prell gathered what gumption she had left and blazed for the Darkside-- Shadows or no Shadows! She sent out a Fire and Ice spell for the Heartless' arm, giving it a measly 4 damage.
She was getting very close to the Heartless now. Close enough that the Shadows started lolly-gagging forwards for her. Pain might want to triple check his aim before firing any more spells in the meanwhile. Darkside [hp=98/124]

Perhaps she was looking forwards to a heroic end. Facing off against the massive Heartless rather than... well, him. A mere sorceror rather than a warrior of pride and power.
His options were limited, his arsenal... untested. Worse, a great number of his spells were simply unusuable.
Best he get closer. Ironic as it was, his stone spikes were probably the most accurate of his attacks - capable of being concentrated in one fell swoop - but their range was currently limited. Perhaps he should - why yes. He should probably should just take the painful option.
One teleport later, he was right in the middle of it.

TURN 14 The Darkside hefted its fist up off the ground, leaving the three Shadows free to--
The Shadows stopped a moment.
Payn was right beside them.
The girl was still a good ten feet away and approaching.
Two of the Shadows made a reach for Payn, aiming to give him 1 point of damage apiece. The third Shadow, still having high hopes on Prell, continued its stroll forward.
And watched as the girl leaped over its head.
Prell, being not blind, grunted in effort as she leapt skyward with her Jump Boost [/i], giving her extra oomph for up to fifteen feet in the air. She was aiming to try and catch the Darkside's rising fist! Given her parkour-like feats earlier, she could probably manage it if she wasn't interrupted midair--[/size][/blockquote] Darkside [hp=98/124]

A spear of earth tore out of the ground, aiming for Prell. Smaller ones avoided the shadows who - inconsiderately - still aimed for Payn.
The damage was inconsequential. He simply ignored it.
If Prell were still trapped by the earth spear he'd add a slew of magic missiles, a fireball and some ice to keep her entertained.

TURN 15 As Payn looked on, the visible blue backside of the girl's cloak stopped midair upon meeting the rising rock.
A moment later, four limbs fell to the rock's side.
Limp.
Lifeless.
The deed was done.
The body would disappear on its own now. The only left attending problem would be the Darkside. It looked already as though its shadow was encroaching on Payn's territory.
BOOM [/i] The sound of pain and agony could be heard as the Darkside slammed into the ground at high speeds, kicking up a dust cloud of the fluttering remains of the damaged buildings surrounding the massive Heartless. And then the sound of sandals could be heard. Another hero? Already?! This one seemed tougher-- A hand fell on Payn's shoulder, ushering it to a whispering mouth. " I think this one miiiiiiiiiiiight be outta your league." Hades' grand toga raised around the wearer's volunteer, draping Payn in a smoke deeper than the yellow dust giving the hero Hercules a decent cough not twenty feet away. The man was absent mindedly destroying the Shadows with a single punch apiece. ...yeah, time to go. " Dinner's on the table," the Lord of the Dead whispered, an expectant and unwavering gaze on the muscular man's display, as the demon was ushered into the fathoms of the cloak. A wash of gray filled Payn's vision. The scene quickly cut to the plains upon which Hades had first approached him, atop a particularly flat rock. ...well, that was... WAIT WHAT WAS THAT. THAT. THAT SMELL. At Payn's feet was a small sack. O ho.
