An white blur in the bush!
A quick breeze across the grass!
A passing dream, unnoticed by the sharpest of mortals!
-wham-
The snowy-looking fox winced in pain as it's head slammed into a tree.
"N--ah!"
Oh, Rho...
Snow quickly fell from a pile of branches onto the less-than-intelligent fox in large patches. Her voice cried out in the agony of self-inflicted cold. Her tail writhed, in both agony and attempting to stave the snow away.
"Okay." the little fox muttered to itself in human dialect. "Okay. Okay. So I don't go running quite that fast from now. Got it. Simple enough. I can be ninja-y otherways."
Oh, Rho...
Rho was going about an everyday romp about the snowy forest-- that time of year, y'know!
Romps are playful experiences! Fun ones, too! It involves a lot of jumping, and running, and--
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH.
The white fox's head popped up out of the snowpile in a dramatic fashion truly deserving of the situation.
A new scent had appeared! Something different's around!
A gleeful squeal escaped the fox's jaw.
Snow isn't much condusive to new people or humans. For this to happen-- wow! Just-- wow!
Charging off as fast as her legs could take her, Rho leaped right into action! And into the nearest tree!
She might be a minute getting up...

Such a lonely path the swordsman walks...
A lone man walked through the snowy forest, his ragged cloak keeping some of the snowfall off his body.
It wasn't like he truly minded the snow, a peaceful staple of this part of the mountains. It just stirred memories, ancient memories better off forgotten.
Something approaches, ready yourself for blood!
The eerie voice echoed through the white haired man's mind, the voice of the cursed blade at his side.
'Be silent! I no longer seek to draw blood for your amusement!' The man's thoughts sounded heavy in his own mind, an attempt to shout down Metsubou's "voice."
Insolent man, do not forget who I am. You are at my whims. Pray that I do not grow tired of your disobedience, and make you obey me!
As this argument continued, Yang had stopped walking ahead, and stood surrounded by silent trees.
Suddenly, the two, blade and wielder, both fell silent as a white fox burst into the clearing at a ridiculous speed.

"CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!"[/i]
Rho shouted at top speed and decibel as she hopped up and down across the snow filled clearing, joyously enjoying a good romp towards the New Scent.
It didn't take more than zero point five seconds for Rho to home in on the man wrapped in the barren remains of a cloak long overused.
Her eyes widened at the sight of the strange human. She tilted her head curiously as she stared at him, her white ears flicking back and forth in the slight breeze.
"So who're youuuuu?" she asked, with an amiable tone about her.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, several Heartless appeared! They shuffled back and forth on one side, seemingly unsure of themselves. But, after a short moment, they all charged like mad, trying to reach the two who were standing in front of them.
12 Shadows, to be exact, had appeared, and they weren't happy. They charged straight for the swordsman and the fox, hungry for their hearts! Hopefully, the two could fight off the Heartless and right the natural order of things in the normally peaceful area! [edited by Rocket for graphical fix!]

Foolish beings shouldn't interfere where they aren't wanted...
As the fox ran into the clearing and asked his name, Yang was oddly unsuprised. The mountains were known for being the home of spirits after all...
And then the Heartless appeared.
With a start, Yang threw back his cloak and drew Metsubou, who in his mind was shouting with anticipation of bloodshed.
"Young one," the cursed man said to the fox, "I believe our conversation would be better continued after the enemy has been defeated. Hold your ground!"
As the Shadows rushed in, Yang deftly moved to the side, allowing two to rush by and slashing down at them, hoping to bisect them.

[hp=24/24] Ehhh? What was-- Rho's fur spiked in fear and surprise as the appearance of a dozen Heartless suddenly turned what might have been an uneventful exchange of words into a battle for their lives. Immediately demanding of all attention. Rho promptly backpedaled into the center of the clearing, the white fox whimpering in fear. "W...w-what are these things?!"A cautionary measure instantly overtook Rho's thoughts. She didn't want those... those things getting near her! A swash of light, and a sudden transparent film of protection appeared around Rho's person. Rho was currently in the form of a snow fox, and not an old one either. These... Shadows... were around the same size as her. They wouldn't have a hard time trying to swarm her unless something happened. And soon. [ Sorry! ^^;; ]

And bisect them Yang did. The two Shadows were cut in half, dissipating into pieces of darkness until they vanishes entirely. The swordsman was then surrounded, 4 of the Heartless concentrating on him. Two of them leapt at him, the other two shifting as if in waiting. The other 6...
They were concentrating on the fox. Surrounded by the Heartless, the fox had nowhere to go. They all leapt, jumping on the fox and attempting to claw it to bits >D

Yang stood stock-still as the next two Heartless flung themselves at him. Smirking slightly, he deftly slashed at the next two attackers as he spun a second time. "You fools need to learn tactics before attacking someone like me! Begone!" It would seem that the cursed swordsman was holding his own easily. Glancing at his "ally" though, he could see he'd have to finish quickly, and save it. [hp=14/14]

[ Sorry, sorry! ^^;;;; Life's been hectic, and Pryth and I keep cooking up new stuff for DS, which takes far too much time away from RPing. XD ][HP=24/24]
Rho, wrought with fear and huddled in the snow, let off a small wimper. It was a ghostly whine, a strange sound coming from a little fox as she so was at the time.
This was not how she planned to spend today.
I mean, rarely does anyone plan to die, right?
Man, does this stink! A furrowing of the elongated nose did occur. Dark eyes looked down white snow towards the black creatures-- Heartless, or something, right?
Still scared, and the emotion clearly embedded on her face, the small being managed to sputter out two small words that might very well help.
"S-spiritual Resort--"
And so, there was light. Ten bursts of ghostly energy shuddered off and for the 6 attacking Heartless. Two per Heartless, except for the last two Heartless, who might well recieve one each if things went Rho's way.
If nothing else-- it'll keep 'em at bay, right? For a bit? Please?

The slash from the swordsman was not enough this time. The two Heartless were knocked backward, but they were not destroyed. They lay on their respective backs, twitching slightly. The other two looked at the man who seemed to be the more formidable opponent of the two with their heads askew, as if confused as to why they were there. That did not last long, however, as the two Shadows leapt at the man, trying to claw him with their dark hands.
The ones attacking the white fox were having the worse time of it, however. Blasted by the creature's spiritual energy, the 6 Shadows all fell backward, landing in a starburst pattern around the fox. It was something that a creature of intelligence would have known as a show of power, and one that told the creatures to stay away. Too bad the Heartless were brainless monsters, or nearly so, and only reacted based on instinct.

Yang slid his blade back into the sheathe, and dropped into a crouched stance, in front of three of the heartless. The minute they leapt at him, as he knew they would, he would explode forward in a lightning fast blow. He focused on his targets, his vision closing on all but those.
They really had no chance.
