Appearance: Jack Skellington, as his name suggests, is a skeleton. He is extremely tall, towering over even the tallest of men, and is quite literally 'thin as a bean pole', to the point he could feasibly hide behind one were it not for his skull and his chest. His long, thin limbs are clothed in a black pinstripe suit that fully accentuates his form, with what seems to be a white undershirt visible beneath (Or perhaps the top of his ribcage), with a bat bow-tie at his neck. His skull is round, and much more animated than one would think, able to bend his eye sockets to display his emotions as readily as any living person. Notably, he has small feet, and he has a thing for wearing different costumes each Halloween, so it isn't unusual to see him about in a different suit.
Personality:•General Persona: Jack usually presents himself as a lively, upbeat type of character. His passion for Halloween and Christmas burn brightly side by side, though he usually focuses more on Halloween until after it's done for that year. Jack has a thespian flair about him that is unrivaled throughout Halloween Town; no one loves scaring and Halloween as much as he, and Jack sees his job as more of an art than an actual job. He takes great pride in throwing the biggest and best Halloween performances around, and though sometimes his attention may waver, he always returns to Halloween in the end.
•Inner Thought Process: Though Jack doesn't show it, he sometimes goes through periods of weariness with Halloween. Usually, when these times happen, that's when he obsesses over something else, as is the case with Christmas. Though he's promised he won't try to take it over again, no one ever said he couldn't decorate Halloween Town every year. Jack shares an equal love for Christmas and Halloween, which means he's had to balance out when he focuses on what thing. It's a bit of an inconvenience at some times, but he manages it quite nicely.

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
[/b][/size][/center][/u]History: Jack Skellington is, in essence, the king of Halloween. The Mayor might be the man in charge of the town, but Jack is usually the one to handle things pertaining to the actual festivities of Halloween. They've had the thing worked out for years, and planning the events of the year are something they're most known for, if not for the "Christmas Incident" a few years back.
Jack has been the (proverbial) king of Halloween for just as long as Santa Claus has been the (proverbial) king of Christmas, and he's just as liked by the people of his world as his Christmas counterpart. Usually, Jack spends his time helping out the people of Halloween Town, dreaming up and trying out new ideas for his Halloween celebration, or even visiting Santa on some down time. He's put the whole "Christmas Disaster" of a few years ago behind him now, and he's working towards bringing the worlds of the holidays closer together, even if they are as different as can be. Jack still holds dreams of flying Santa's sleigh and delivering presents to children the right way, rather than the rather macabre version he put on once.
Jack's real Christmas spirit comes out after the Halloween celebration is over, and it's not unusual to see him rushing about town spreading good spirits or looking for presents for everyone in the town. Some of the residents of Halloween Town find this to be strange, but no one really minds, and by the end of the holiday everyone's joined in with him in their own macabre Christmas celebration (that Santa surely wouldn't enjoy attending). Jack's most recent endeavor has been to convince Santa to come to Halloween Town to see this year's Halloween celebration, which so far has met with little success. Of course, Jack hasn't given up hope yet; one day, he is certain Santa will come to watch the celebrations, he just knows it...
