Appearance: Here you go.
Personality:•General Persona
A strangely calm, perky youth with an indomitable appetite for adventure, Marcus is always on the move. Curiosity serves as the root of his brave nature, which allows him to fearlessly venture into the unknown without a second thought. Of course, under the right conditions, it can easily twist into mischief, which can get this lad into more trouble than he generally asks for. This puts him off as reckless and naïve, but he stubbornly insists that it's all for the sake of thrills: Life's no fun if you know what's coming around every turn, right?
By extension, Marcus is normally nonchalant and dismissive of the more important things in life, preferring to think lightly of them until they actually need to be focused on, taking his responsibilities with a porcelain expression of serenity. Instead of working to support himself, he'd much rather be out camping or exploring. He's a pretty big slacker, for the most part. But it's not safe to say that he's completely irresponsible: when given a task that absolutely needs completing, he's usually the one to get it done without complaint, but not exactly without questions.
Socially, his open, outgoing approach towards others is genuine and neighborly, which makes conversations struck up with Marcus enjoyable. He's always one to keep an open opinion on things, and tries his hardest not to argue with people over pointless debates. To become acquaintances with Marcus earns you reliable support; however Marcus knows little about maintaining solid friendships, and often requires extra guidance and support to keep it stable. He really does mean the best for others: he's just inexperienced, is all.
Marcus holds great pride in himself and his abilities, and it's not uncommon for him to show off once in a while. Even so, he's not pompous: he may know a trick or two, but he won't go out of his way to rub it in someone's face. Half the time, he simply pretends like he knows what he's doing, when he really doesn't have a clue, though this can openly be questioned as to whether or not it's intentional. Any time he happens to be flamboyant about how he performs in a fight, or anything in general, one can tell he's in a good mood.
Of all of the recreational activities Marcus loves doing, fighting happens to top his list. Be it for self-improvement, defense, or sport, Marcus loves getting physical, and relishes any pain he takes as an uplifting sensation. In a sense, every injury he suffers from tells a story of the pain he went through to get where he is now, and the amount of effort he had to put in to get as strong as he is. He puts sentimental value in every scar he receives, and wouldn't get wish them away for anything if it meant erasing the tales they told.
•Inner Thought Process
This young man is always on the look out for spontaneity. He strongly feels that variety is the spice of life, and he's constantly searching for new, colorful ways to live out his own. He has an admirable taste for foreign culture, and he'll experiment with just about everything and anything to obtain the most colorful and wondrous results. A trait most people do not recognize about Marcus right off the bat is that he is immensely attentive, and learns at an accelerated rate; he's quick to pick up on things through observation alone, and while he isn't anywhere near "genius" capacity, he's got the makings of a jack-of-all-trades.
Unpredictability is what makes Marcus's world go round. Because of his go-with-the-flow outlook on life, he feels uncomfortable when forced into a leader position; instead, willing to cooperate with others for the sake of reaching a common destination. He's always thinking of wacky, chaotic solutions to problems he experiences on a normal basis, all for the sake of adding a little variety in his routine. Extremely determined to see the results of his progress and actions, he's willing to take almost any risk to achieve what he wants, with several exceptions.
More often than not, people are likely to take Marcus's actual intelligence for granted; the first thoughts most people obtain when exposed to the way he views the world are "nuts", "cuckoo", and "off his rocker". Highly untrue. (Or is it?) Marcus deeply insists that he merely thinks outside the box, and that everyone else is rooted to conventional methods. If one took the time to do things a bit differently, he says, they'll notice their life has a bit more spice to it. Or, if people decide to simply cast away what they consider "normal" and live the way they choose to, then life becomes a bit easier to live through.
One thing that constantly flows through his mind is the desire to improve himself, for his own sake and for others. He views strength as highly valuable, and something that one should never exactly live without; though he's more than willing to admit that it can be gained in ways that are much more acceptable than others. Still, it never hurts to experiment just a teeny bit, right?

Weapons:
Primary Weapon Name: Muramasa
Primary Weapon Type: Blade [Twin Longswords/Dual-Bladed Polearm]
Primary Weapon Description: A rare, unique, and lethal-looking weapon that serves as Marcus's principal weapon. The blades are forged from an eerie, black steel and feature a freakishly sharp, blood red cutting edge; with each blade fixed to a gold rain guard. Each blade is attached to a gold rain guard, glued to a velvet red shaft. The shaft is engraved with a crisscross pattern for better grip. At the center of the shaft is a gold coupling—by twisting it clockwise, Muramasa splits into a pair of elaborate longswords, which can be dual-wielded. The weapon spans a total of 6' in length; three inches shorter than Marcus. (image not to scale). No one knows exactly who made the sword, where it came from, or why it was forged; however, some say there's more to it than meets the eye.
Secondary Weapon Name: Fists and Feet
Secondary Weapon Type: Unarmed [Fists and Feet]
Secondary Weapon Description: His four, best friends—he never leaves home without them. Marcus is more than capable of holding his own in a good, ol' fashioned street brawl.

History
The exact details surrounding Marcus and his background aren't relatively looked at as important from his perspective, though if one must know, he was born into a secluded household in Radiant Garden under the care of his adoptive mother; he has no recollection or memory of his biological parents, nor has he given them much consideration. The amount of social interaction he received as a kid was grimly low, though it never really seemed to bother him much, as he spent most of his time either doing simple house work or observing people and watching how other kids went about their leisure.
Over time, Marcus would slowly grow more and more curious of the outside world, eager to learn and try new things, as opposed to the same monotony he was exposed to every day. He would constantly "invent" new methods and patterns to perform tasks that were usually menial in nature, or travel down paths that no, sane person would take to get to a destination he'd been to hundreds of times before. As he began to grow (more or less) socially acceptable in the eyes of neighborhood children, he found himself swept along for many adventures the local kids had, relishing every moment he spent with them.
It would eventually come crashing down on Marcus: a life of adventure was what he had ultimately craved for so long. Action! Unexpected twists and turns! To make an impact on a bleak and tasteless town! Experiencing new places, meeting new people, and learning new skills that would allow him to place himself on a pedestal amongst his peers as a unique, wacky, and talented individual—a free spirit and a rebel without a cause, having long since cast aside the shell of adequacy and normality in favor of a life filled with thrills, chills, and spills. To simply stand out and live an action-packed life is what Marcus truly desired!
But, first thing's first: any adventurer with a brain needed gear! But, Marcus had no job, thus a lack of revenue. Without munny, it seemed as though his dreams of grand expedition were slowly moving far beyond his yearning reach could grasp for. However, it was on his eighteenth birthday that he had suddenly received his treasured weapon, Muramasa, from a stranger in a black cloak. He was never identified, nor seen again, but the card that came enclosed with the blade read:
"Those who trust to chance, must abide by the results of chance."
As foreboding as the resulting message was, Marcus would take this quote to heart. Everything he did was essentially a gamble: there was never an opportunity where he wouldn't suffer greatly because of a fatal flaw in his game plan, or lack thereof. He had a choice: travel and become known throughout the world as a connoisseur of spontaneity, or suffer the risk of permanent humiliation at the hands of normality. Aside from the obvious answer of "his life" or "dignity", what did Marcus Gallagher truly have to lose?
