Name: Ansem
Race: Human
Age: 42
Gender: Male
Homeworld: Radiant Garden
Your Decisions Will Decide the Outcome of the Universe

Appearance: Ansem is a moderately tall, aged man with a light tan and hay-colored hair. Ansem sports a short-cropped beard and moustache on his face, and his hair hangs roughly to his shoulders with a pair of sharp brown eyes. Generally, Ansem sports a lab coat in a periwinkle color, beneath which he wears a white collared shirt, a dark gray vest, and a violet ascot, with black pants and shoes, with a red scarf around his neck. On occasions, he sports an almost completely different outfit; a red cloak cut in a geometric pattern on his chest, with something like gray segmented armor beneath (Though it is really a stiff fabric), a black shirt with another pattern in blue visible beneath. A pair of light brown sleeves are visible on his arms, and he wears a black scarf rather than a red one, as well as black gloves. His legs are concealed beneath a robe of dark gray with another geometric pattern displayed on it. Despite looking uncomfortable and somewhat battle-ready, the outfit offers no more protection than his usual attire.
Personality:General Persona: On the exterior, Ansem is a kind, just man who leads with a combination of his heart and his impressive intellect. He always seems to be calm and collected, and though he is serious, it is not to the point of restricting a sense of humor. Ansem seems to know just what to say to get the people of Radiant Garden to restore their hope, and does his best to keep the public informed as to what is happening politically in the Bastion, provided he knows of it. Ansem’s ability to make level-headed decisions has made him something of a living legend in Radiant Garden, and though some don’t agree with his plans of constructing Traverse Town and visiting other worlds, they trust him enough to know what he’s doing. His compassion for the people and his skills in speaking have made him well respected in Radiant Garden.
Inner Thought Process: Internally, Ansem is much more emotional than he displays outwardly. He is an intelligent man, geared towards science and helping the people of his world, as well as a pacifist. He feels a great devotion to the well being of Radiant Garden and its people, his adopted daughter Kairi in particular. Though he does not show it often, Ansem is capable of a great and terrible anger; none have crossed him to that point, but none have a reason to. A diplomat, he is skilled at talking nearly anybody out of whatever notions of anger or hatred they might have, and he is much more capable at defending himself with his words than with his might. Though he usually keeps it out of his affairs and political business, Ansem has a great deal of empathy and compassion for others, be they from Radiant Garden to Halloween Town. His three main goals are to forge friendships between the governments of the worlds, to continue his research on various topics, and to be the best father he can to Kairi.
Fears: Failing his people, dying before he can find a suitable successor.
Pleasures: Ice cream, improving the status of Radiant Garden, research of various types, constructing technological devices.
Quirks: Likes Sea Salt ice creamBut With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

Primary Weapon Name: Nova Zero
Primary Weapon Type: Lance [Bladed]
Primary Weapon Description: A long, thin weapon cast in black with a golden edge on its blades. The design of the connecting point of the lance’s blades and the staff resemble the geometric pattern visible in his alternate outfit, and shared the blue coloration in the lines. In height, it stands taller than Ansem, and though he is less than graceful with it, he is learning quickly.
Secondary Weapon Name: Rapid Encoder
Secondary Weapon Type: Ranged
Secondary Weapon Description: A laser-based handgun of high-tech designs built by Ansem for the last-ditch moments he absolutely must defend himself. It has never been used, but Ansem fears that with the Anomaly attacking, he may be forced to sooner or later. It fires a laser of red energy from its tip, but firing more than four times in the course of a few seconds will cause it to overheat.

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
History: Ansem the Wise has been Radiant Garden’s ruler for as long as anyone cares to remember. It’s generally recognized that Radiant Garden is the paradise it is because of the brilliant ideas and devotion that have come from the man’s brain. He himself doesn’t quite recall how he became leader of Radiant Garden, but he wouldn’t trade his position for all the worlds in the Sea of Stars. His initial position was that of a young researcher working independently in Radiant Garden during the tenure of its vicious king. He developed his own idea as to what a government should be during his studies, which he kept as secret as possible. Unfortunately, his secret slipped, and he was arrested to be tried for treason. There, Ansem's penned ideas were read aloud to the court (Which consisted of nothing but the King and a crowd of spectators forced to watch the oncoming execution), which by some stroke of ridiculous luck was on the very day the king fell to rebellion. Inspired by Ansem's ideas of a utopian society and government after the tyrannical reign of the king, it was quickly decided that their new leader would be the man whose words framed exactly what they wanted for their children. Given the title of 'the Wise', Ansem was made leader of Radiant Garden, and his task was a difficult one; the rebuilding of a torn nation. The opinion of how he did is nearly unanimous; he passed his trial with flying colors, and has presided over Radiant Garden ever since that fateful day.
Perhaps the only error in his nigh-perfect career happened roughly fourteen years ago, shortly after the birth of his now-adopted daughter Kairi. Kairi’s parents were researchers in the Bastion, assisting Ansem the Wise with all manner of experiments; part of the reason the town’s water system was implemented so quickly and efficiently was because of their assistance. Unfortunately for Ansem, this was not to last.
Rumors of the Heartless appearing beyond the Maw were becoming increasingly common, and after enough reports, Ansem decided to send a research team out to discover how true the rumors were. Kairi’s parents offered to head up the operation. He allowed it, and the party was off the next morning. None returned. Feeling guilty for not having had the sense to send more of the relatively few guards with them, and feeling pity for the infant Kairi’s position, with only a grandmother now to watch over her, Ansem decided to atone in several ways. Firstly, he would adopt Kairi and raise her as his own daughter. Secondly, he would increase the ranks of Radiant Garden’s guardian forces to ensure something else like this never happened again. Thirdly, on the behest of Kairi’s grandmother and his own intuition, he decided it would be best not to reveal what had happened to the young girl until she was much older.
It had been fourteen years since then, and no major incidents have occurred since then, save for scattered reports of Heartless beyond the Maw. Radiant Garden was the picture of serenity, beautiful flowers dotting the city, and the mining operations out of the way just enough to not be visible from town, creating in essence a perfect paradise worthy of the name Radiant Garden. But then, another event marked Ansem’s tenure as Radiant Garden’s leader. The Storm struck. Unable to do anything, and sick to death with Kairi missing from the Bastion, Ansem was forced to retreat to his study, and further to the computer room. It was pure luck that he managed to survive, as the Anomaly were very near to breaking through the blast doors of the computer room when they were defeated.
After this, at the urging of his daughter and of several of the guards, Ansem decided it was time he learned how to defend himself against enemies he was unable to reason with, such as the Heartless and the Anomaly. After much begging, he was finally convinced that he would learn how to fight, much though he loathed the idea of it. Though he knows of magic, and of a fighting style fitting his newfound weapon, he has never actually used any of it before, and Ansem the Wise has not lost the humor of becoming the student of those who look up to him as their teacher.
