Weird topic, but whatever. I'm weird. There's been a tsunami just yesterday near Tokyo, Japan, and odds are the waves are going to go to Alaska and/or British Columbia, probably South America too. For me, I think that anyone planning a trip to Japan should rethink it for now. That, and I think Tokyo was kind of lucky it didn't go underwater, no matter how many safety precautions they took, given the size of the earthquake, they're lucky the entire city didn't tip over the edge of the cliff it's built on. xD I know it's a rather serious topic, especially for me, but hey. Bear with me here. xD Do you think the end of the world is nigh or something?! You think that the Japanese should stop making stupid videos, so that Mother Nature has to be like "Okay, I'mma gonna take out your video equipment," or such? I hope none of you live near the tsunami warning areas of Canada/USA. That would suck. o.o What are your thoughts on this, forum? P.S. I hope the Squeenix/Disney headquarters in Japan didn't get taken out. I'm a douche like that. xD

Yeah here in Cali we have a few watches. Beaches are closed today as far as I know. But some oversized wave wouldn't stop me from going to Japan!

Being in Japan, I can safely tell you that it was scary as all gets out. xD
The earthquake, I mean. I'm inland, so I've got no tsunami worries. My first time being in a house as it was shaking... XD
The earthquake put a lot of trains out of commission too, yup yup.
Thoughts-wise, OH SHOOT CAT OUT OF THE BAG the earthquake started up over the ocean, and spread out from there-- the effects of the earthquake tamper over distances. Those closer to the epicenter compared to lil' ol me are dually close to the water. One-two hit, and the result is the pictures and videos that are popping up now.
Japan's had its share of earthquakes, not so unlike California-- I don't think it'll take too long, getting those affected back on their feet.
I'm more worried about the Tokyo nuclear plant. xD
EDIT: Just got a good, long look at the pictures coming in and... well, hoping everyone has insurance. There's a lot of work that'll need doing. Hope everything goes okay. -nod-

[avatar]http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk1/IceDragonRoar/Avatars/BlazBlue/Ragna/22824448-3.jpg[/avatar] AHA! So Rocket lives in Japan! No wonder. I've been hearing about it over here in NY. It's all over CNN and our US History teacher had us watch some of the stuff going on there. Holy crap that is insane. At least the capital city is safe from giant waves of death. AND they didn't find out about the big earthquake until too late. Apparently there were 3: 1 very small, another very small, then WTFMASSIVE out of nowhere. I just hope people will be able to rebuild and whatnot. I don't like the sound of boats and cars floating together on streets underwater....

The area south of me, city called Santa Cruz got tsunami surges in the harbor there. Surprised that Hawaii wasn't really been affected by it, just some huge waves. Low tide in San Francisco, my friend's school was shut down because its right near the ocean in SF. Though, I am inland some. No real major flooding accept for in some cities that have harbors such as Santa Cruz.
But, yeah I was watching the news mostly all last night and have been watching it since I got home.
Its kinda scary... like maybe 2012 is coming early. (lol)

Wow, nice, Rocket, you live Japan. You get all the games before us, lol. =P I'm such a douchebag. xD
Yeah, I'm worried about that Tokyo nuclear plant too, and apparently it's not just one, it's a few of them. If those things go off, there's going to be a BIG crater in a part of Japan. Hopefully they can get that under control before it all 'splodes on us.
And lol 2012. Personally I think it's a bunch of balony, the same predication was given in 1994 and actually at the turn of the century as well in 2000 and nothing happened. xD

Goodness Rocket! I hope YOU're okay, the double hit in Tokyo has me shaken up since had faith not intervened I'd be doing what Rocket did and in Tokyo area. I sincerely pray for everyone there and even along that side of the Pacific. Square Enix had to shut down the FFXI and FFXIV servers as a result of the accident but it seems a lot of people are holding up. Kubo-sensei of Bleach fame and Oda-sensei of One Piece fame are alright.

That's some good news to be reading especially since Rocket is back. Sadly the result of the attack caused damage to Mt. Fuji-area, which affected my fav animation studio SHAFT (resulting in Episode 11 of Madoka being delayed and the offices slightly damaged but everyone's okay thank god). I'll keep praying but geez I wish the world could get a break, maybe it's time we finally give up this ridiculous money system and just do what needs to be done world-wide.

California having earthquakes isn't something not to be expected. I did however find it surprising that we are starting to experience low levels of nuclear radiation now. Not anything dangerous but if we start glowing at night we know what to blame.
