Jack Skellington's impossibly long strides carried him down the main street of town, the towering skeleton humming a tune in a cheery way... with two huge sacks in his arms, fill with... well, who knew what Jack had? They were obviously two different somethings; one was marked with a big pumpkin and the other with a big candy cane, though that too looked decidedly more sinister than a normal candy cane.
One of these bags, the one with the candy cane painted on it, was stuffed full of presents for the people of Halloween Town, and the other was filled with props and outfits for this year's upcoming Halloween, and the old Pumpkin King was on his way to deliver the props to the town's meeting house, and he spotted someone familiar on his way up. "Hello Sally! It's wonderful to see you today; and an even more wonderful day to practice for this year's Halloween!"

Sally had been sent out to get some ingredients for Doctor Finkelstien; which was usually the only reason she went out. The Doctor was pretty strict with her, she was hardly let out of the house. She felt like a teenager; their parents hardly let them go out. But, recently he had been really lenient towards Sally. Perhaps it had something to do with Jack... "Oh! Jack," the life-like animated doll said as was surprised by someone calling to her. She almost dropped her basket with herbs and other things in it that the Doctor had sent her out to get. She was almost surprise that she would run into Jack today. Surely, he would be busy with coming up with ideas for next Halloween. Sally scurried somewhat over to Jack; noticing the two large bags that he carried over his shoulders. She peeked at the bags and asked, "What are those for?" she asked. She was more so curious about the red and white stripped one; she had a bad feeling that it had something to do Christmas. It was the same color as Santa Claus' suit. She then peered up at Jack with her large eyes, "What are you planning, Jack?" she asked all seriously. Of course, she would be suspicious of Jack. She didn't like the idea of him planning for Christmas when that should be Santa Claus' and the elves job.

"Hm? Oh, the bags!" Jack replied, grinning and hefting one and then the other. "This bag is full of some props the mayor asked me to drop off by the town hall for our rehearsals this year, and THIS one has presents in it for Halloween Town's Christmas day! I thought it would be a nice idea to pick up some presents for everyone from me. I've found presents for almost everyone in town; I was going to wrap some of them after I was done going over my performance," He said, about to give a bit of a dramatic wave before he remembered he had two big sacks under his arms. Thankfully, nothing spilled out. "I see you're picking up some things for the good doctor; any way I can help out?"

[avatar]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v654/KatsumiX/Sally%20NBC/nbc-oranj_icons.gif[/avatar]It seemed that momentarily her conscience had gone into double-load and over reacted. It seemed Jack was up to his old things, but had worked through and around them. Sally had been more worried about the bag with candy-can stripes on it, but it seemed her worry was uncalled for. Jack didn't seem to want to take over Santa's job with Christmas, but instead bring it just to Halloween town. Sally smiled at her skeleton friend, tilting her head some. "Presents for everyone?" she asked. Sally began to wonder if Jack had gotten her anything; surely he did for he had said everyone, after all.
She was a bit startled when stated that he noticed that she seemed to be picking up things for the doctor. Nodding she said, "Yeah, it's the only way I can seem to get out..." then looked down at the basket. She wished she had more leisure to go outside; like the freedom Jack seemed to have. "I'm practically done, but if you wanted I could walk with you to the town hall. I'm sure the Doctor wouldn't notice if I was gone longer. Probably too busy with his experiments anyways to notice," she added, giggling some.

"Almost everyone; there's still a few people I have to pick up things for, but I should have that out of the way in plenty of time for Christmas! Halloween is only a couple of months off, but there's plenty of time until Christmas rolls around," Jack said cheerily, hefting the bags to get a better grip on them. "Oh, I don't think he'll mind if you wander around for a little while; he's probably busy working on those things the mayor needs for this year's Halloween right about now anyways. I'm excited about it; the mayor doesn't want to tell me until it's finished. Oh but that's all about me, was there something you wanted to talk about?"

Sally smiled at Jack's cheerfulness. He seemed really eager about Halloween and Christmas. She just hoped that he didn't have anything else planned for Christmas and what the mayor had planned for Halloween wasn't...too dangerous. Sally would have offered to help Jack carry the bags but they seemed way too heavy for her to carry, it was a wonder how Jack was carrying them.
"Mmm, not really..I haven't heard much about the plans for Halloween, but I did overhear the Doctor mumbling to himself about something the mayor wanted him to make. It seemed..." Sally paused, thinking,"Rather complicated and complex to make, though I didn't get to hear what it was exactly," The doctor had spotted, well not spotted her but knew she was there and she rushed back into her room. She was a bit worried about what exactly it was..
"How've you been though, Jack?" she asked him, she hadn't seen him in a few days. The doctor had been ordering her around a lot and mostly making her do things in his lab or in the house.
