((Not complaining about it sir. Use all you got. But if you buy anything after this, it shouldn't come into effect, for the clarification.)) Malthus and Lea were likely in the right to attack immediately. The six blades flew true, and just as two of the Shadows were sinking into the ground four of them three blades struck the one Malthus was targeting, and then it was flat in the ground, letting the other three fly into the one behind it, but not before Lea sunk his teeth in a good solid bite on the Shadow just as it flattened out.
The sudden attack forced the Shadows to scatter in a pattern. Two of the heartless flattened out, one began moving behind each group (behind Ellie and Lea respectively), while the other two approached head on. One made a dash straight for Konaa, while the other bounced off of Lea's skull in an attempt to reach Malthus as he came down. The bounce would deal no damage, but surely be frustrating. This was so stupid. What were monsters like these doing here? They lived in a peaceful world- he was sure something like this had never happened before. ...Ah well. It was annoying as hell but the only thing he could do was fight to survive.
One of the things was coming straight for him. He was really missing his sword right now- he could have cut right through it. As it was, the best he could do was shift aside to avoid the single-minded creature and deliver a couple of stinging kicks.

Ellie wasn't sure what to do but she couldn't just stand there all day and not be the only one not attacking, even her dog friend had been wise to attack..but had fled moments later. The crazy-colored haired girl smirked. She drew out her two yo-yos, she was pretty skilled with them.. but she wondered how much damage they could do to these things. She hooked one onto each hand, on her middle-fingers and then tossed one towards the heartless close to her, the yo-yo moving in circles as it let loose its string. She hoped to bonk the thing on it's head. This was an attack to see how much her yo-yo attack would work...

When it came to aerial antics, Malthus was one of the best there was in Twilight Town. He flipped away from the Heartless jumping towards him, assuming it was trying to attack him. Well, that was obvious. His Aerial Dodge, however, would serve him in buying enough time to throw his last four throwing knives at the thing, since they had seemed effective previously. When he landed, whether those knives had hit or not, he drew out his daggers, spinning them expertly as he watched the strange creature that had flattened against the ground near the dog, following its movements and taking Aim at it. With it's one successful attack made, the dog escaped back to it's home, even though it's enemy remained. Still, all the same. The dog had done something and that was well enough, the rest could be left up to the three on the beach.
Malthus used his positioning to his advantage, and the knives were quick to slice through the darkness. The shadow, who still hung in the air had no way to dodge or avoid the attack, and all four knives struck home, causing it to puff in a burst of darkness. The heartless which Lea had left behind. Was properly positioned to pop up and make two scratches immediately as the other landed.
Then the bug-eyed shadow before Konaa came at him with a leap, claws scratching wildly at the air. He managed to get one attack in on the other's leg, just before the kick connected, sending it off to the side. The shadow shook it's head before sinking back into the ground.
Ellie would have the most trouble, finding that although her yo-yos were unique and powerful, they would only glance of the shadow nearest to her, which was still in it's shifted state. It popped up from the sand before her, and made two slashes at her arms. [/blockquote][/size] [hp=0/8] [hp=1/8] [hp=6/8] [hp=2/8]

He winced as the thing got his leg. Didn't hurt THAT bad....but then he was hit another two times. His reflexes weren't that great yet...he wasn't exactly used to fighting for his life, in his defense. Gritting his teeth, he let loose a punch-punch-kick combo on the shadow that had struck him twice.

Ellie was a bit disappointed that her yo-yos had relatively done no harm whatsoever, but seemed to only anger it more. It came at her making two slashes, she raised her arms into the air. She winced as the pain from the slashes went through her body. She drew her yo-yos back to her, yeah, with her mind, mind you. She jumped backwards some away from the dark creature. All three of them seemed to be fighting at least one of these things now. She sent out both yo-yos this time. They seemed to fly even faster and were even infused with Lightning Aura. Hopefully this would help.~

Malthus grimaced as he felt the claws of this... this THING touch him. "You look like a beetle, and you hit about as strong as one!" He shouted at it, attempting to simply give it a punt to send it flying with his prowess as a student in the art of Unarmed Combat. He threw his daggers, one at each of the other two strange creatures, and then took a quick look around to see how things were going.

Konaa's retaliation proved successful when the Heartless that had previously targeted him dissipated. The remaining Heartless followed suit not long after their respective opponents made their final attacks.

The creature vanished into darkness, leaving nothing left. Panting, Konaa looked out at the other two and saw that they had defeated the other creatures. Malthus had shown incredible skill in balancing his knives, and Ellie was apparently a bit more dangerous than she appeared.
He muttered what they were probably all thinking. "What WERE those things..?"

Ellie half collapsed to the ground, a little exhausted. And a little mind-blown at what had just happened. One moment the three were just talking, the next these black shadowy, beady eyed creatures had sprung up and attacked them. She let out a sigh of relief as she stood up, recoiling her yo-yos. "Man..." she said, about the say the exact same question that Konaa posed.
"I'm not sure...but hopefully they don't pop up again," she said as she walked towards Konaa. Looking around she looked for her four-legged companion. Lea probably had high-tailed it home already, she wasn't one to really tuck her tail between her legs but occasionally ducked out of a fight or two. "Everyone, ok?" Ellie asked, looking around at the two others who were on the beach.

"I'm fine." Malthus said, nodding and grinning. "Just a few scratches here and there. Nothing dangerous. Whatever they were, I don't think they'll show up again. And if they do, we'll beat them again!" Inside, though, where they couldn't see past his mask, he was shaken to the core. Something about them... disturbed him greatly.
He wandered about, gathering up his knives and daggers from the sand. Then he stared into the distance across the water, making a decision. "It was nice meeting you two. I think I'm going to go now." He said with no preamble. He then, quite simply, jumped away.

Weirded out, to say the least, by Malthus' sudden exit, Konaa scratched his head.
"Odd guy..."
Turning to Ellie, he was a little uncomfortable from her concern. Surprisingly so, he guessed he was a little more awkward than he thought. Nothing like a casual day on the beach, with...shadowy monsters trying to kill him. As for his injuries, his arm was hurting somewhat, baring a fairly nasty gash. But that wasn't anything to worry about.
He dismissively waved his arm. "I'm fine. You?"

"I'm a'ight, just a little bewildered.." she stated to him after the two had watched the other boy leave. She looked to the skies and thought for awhile, remembering Lea. She looked over Konna, "I shall embark as well," she said to him, nodding her head to him as she gave a small, warm smile. "It was nice to meet you, Konaa. Perhaps I'll see ya around?" she asked.
She then started to walk off, waving back towards him and then disappeared.
[Exit]
(Would you want to have another thread with Konaa and Ellie where they meet again?)
