Yeah, so I didn't really know what would be an appropriate title for this post >_< .
Anyway, I've been watching the Cloud v. Sephiroth fight from Advent Children (Complete), as some of you know, and as I watched them casually cut through giant slabs of concrete and steel, I thought it might be cool to develop an ability that allowed me to do the same. At some point, however, I realized I didn't need to because such an ability already exists. It just needs to be stated.
Long story short, I'm suggesting that another element be added to the description of the weapon advancement abilities: the limitations on what possessors of said abilities can and cannot destroy. For example, an addition to Bladed Weapon Ardent might say "a character with this ability can slice casually through concrete and penetrate the non-magical defenses of any opponent who is not at least a student of his/her respective weapon." This way, we have another element to define our characters' abilities and are not tempted to start prematurely cutting/smashing/shooting through whole skyscrapers like Sora at the end of Kingdom Hearts II.
Whaddaya think?

THREAD NECROMANCY GO!
...alright. Do we have a general idea of how much damage Wk/Avg/Str/Lgn abilities do to property and thus insurance rates? Payn's tossing around fairly powerful magicks but I'm not sure how powerful they're supposed to be in comparison to, well, buildings and so on.

Hmm an intriguing possibility. It'd be a lot easier in a quest since those buildings and stuff would have HP. However for casual RP, why not just Roll with it =O?

Mostly because there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the power of a - for instance - fireball Lv2 and that of Fire Lv3. I don't think anyone will argue that Fire Lv3 has the ability to blast through a (n unreinforced) wall.
However, fireball Lv2 only deals 2 damage less but would seemingly affect a much smaller area and have much less 'oompf' as it were. Is this just my reading of it?
