Appearance: Much like tree squirrels, the ground squirrel has short limbs and a long body. They also have a long, bushy tail. Asani is no different in these aspects. His fur is a nice, tawny color, and his tail a grayish-blackish. On both of his sides is a white stripe. His eyes are a dark black.
Personality:•General Persona:Asani is a loner, unlike most of his kind who live in colonies. He's defiant and rebellious, but he hasn't lived as long as he has without caution. He is wary and incredibly quick to run from (and, if he has no choice, at) danger. He also has a streak of pride, believing no one is better than he at what he's good at. This arrogance can lead him into danger.
•Inner Thought Process: Hidden beneath his arrogance, pride, and caution, Asani can be quite friendly and loyal. Make him your friend, and he wouldn't leave you in danger even if you told him too. He's also quite curious, but he's suppressed that part of his personality. Rightfully so, since curiosity can get him killed easily. And lastly, when he holds a grudge, he REALLY holds a grudge.

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
[/b][/size][/center][/u]History: Asani never fit in well.
He was unfortunate enough to be the last born in his litter, with two older siblings. Fortunately, he didn't want for food; the whole community helped feed everyone. There was always plenty to go around. However, Asani wanted to do more than sit around, eat, and then later help gather food. He was the unlucky one, born... with curiosity.
Curiosity is indeed a dangerous thing in the Pride Lands for a prey animal. The unknown was dangerous; the known not fully safe, just less dangerous. Wanting to go find someplace outside of the band's territory was insanity! But if it was, Asani was afflicted with it. This led into many arguments with the rest of his community.
The last straw was when Asani accidentally woke up a predator, which tried (predictably) to catch and eat him. The dangers he posed to the band were too much for him to stay; he left of his own free will (mostly. There was some pressure from his siblings and even his father, though not his mother.). He left far to the easy (far for him), and dug out his own burrow. It was far from home, but it was NEW. And in time, it would become home.
Another predator attempted to catch him, digging up his burrow. As he escaped from another exit, he thanked his lucky stars he was a fast runner. His escape was unnoticed. This, actually, laid down the pattern that he would follow for the next few weeks. Dig a burrow, get caught, escape. Soon he began trying to suppress his curiosity, and only THEN was he able to find a place to stay and not attract a predator to his burrow. Unfortunately, though, a major part of the personality can only be repressed so long...
