Appearance:
One Full-Sized Picture. Credit to Raphelt.
Personality:•General Persona: Crazy? Just a little bit. Henry “Deadward” Edwards is a man with a strange sense of morals. He believes that pirates are the scum of the earth and will do anything he can to detain (or if the situation calls, eliminate) them. This hatred can be seen as his rugged outer aura. Henry is a quiet man, but one you do not want to mess with. Once you get him going, he becomes a vicious fighter and a ravenous opponent.
•Inner Thought Process: On the inside, Henry sees himself as something of a savior. Though the common public views him as a deranged lunatic, Henry actually sees to protect the same public that despises him. He is very intelligent, and feels that the more people fear him, the better they will listen. Fear is a very powerful force for controlling the masses, you see.
•Fears: Fear is something that the Captain forgot a long time ago. It has been a long time since Captain Deadward has feared anything but the sea herself, even death itself.
•Pleasures: What could bring more pleasure to a pirate-killer than killing yet another piece of scum? Well, it would be peace. Henry has been a man for the calm, however, he knows he cannot experience it until every last piece of evil is eradicated from this universe…
•Quirks: Besides the whole pirate-killer thing? He doesn’t like heights. Heights and Henry do not make happy Henry. But With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

Primary Weapon Type: Ranged
Primary Weapon Description: Most captains are issued a refined pistol made to shoot once with amazing accuracy and screw up the next moment. Metalhead, as Henry named the pistol, actually came from the dead pirate of the same name. The pistol might not be very accurate compared to a rifle, but you can be very sure it’ll work.
[Fire Rate: 2 shots per post]
Secondary Weapon Name: Rapier
Secondary Weapon Type: Bladed
Secondary Weapon Description: A three-foot blade is not be taken lightly in the hands of a trained user. This rapier was issued to Deadward when he reached his current rank, about two decades ago. The blade is kept very sharp and treated everyday to ensure it is still as grand as it was the day he first received it.

But Your History Decides Your Version of "Responsibility"
History:
Fifty years ago, Port Royal was not the place of vermin and scum it is today. No, half a century ago, Port Royal was something of a sanctuary amongst the high seas. The people worked hard and the merchants, while not working hard, were honest folk. The sun even seemed brighter in those days, as crazy as that may sound.
This was the world Henry Walter Edwards was born into. Growing up into his early teens, he was raised by two loving parents; Jonathon and Mary. Johnathan was a blacksmith while Mary, his loving wife, was always busy at home doing the somewhat tedious chores of everyday life. It was a stable and satisfying life, one that our dear Henry still imagines as perfect to this day.
However, strange things began to happen in the Port. The East India Trading Company came to town, and with them they brought pirates; captives of the Royal Navy. Now there could be some whole sociological explanation for the rapid deterioration of the town, but it essentially comes down to the fact that once pirates come to a city- captive or not, a town will begin to degrade. At least, this was the mind set of Henry, who was only fourteen or so at the time.
The once child-friendly streets of Port Royal were turned into dark paths full of drunks, pirates, and the other sort of vermin. Even the guards, sent on patrol, turned a blind eye at the sight of a few precious gold pieces.
Thus, with crime high and the moral standards of people falling lower and lower each day, Henry joined the navy. It was a common movement in those days; for the family of the new solider would be moved into a sub-sect of Port Royal that was highly guarded (in other words, there weren't as many crooks). With a tad bit more knowledge than the other new recruits, Henry achieved his ranks a bit quicker than most.
In fact, within four years of joining the service, Henry had made captain. To many, this was considered a spectacular feet. A twenty-four year-old making one of the higher ranks in the navy... Well, it was frankly unheard of. And thus, many higher-ranked took a disliking to Henry. They had friends they wanted to promote, though not exactly deserving, and this kid had managed to outsmart their money and connections.
For this, Henry Edwards was sent on missions that no man should ever have to endure alone with only one crew. Raiding pirates setting fire to villages suspected of hiding fugitives, even waging battles against other ships who just so happened to not be on good terms with the East India Trading Company. This turned the honorable and wise man into a toughened soul. The sights you see at sea are something you cannot forget.
Because of the suicide missions, Henry Edwards has received the nickname "Captain Deadward," because it seems almost everywhere he goes leads to death. However, it should be known that Deadward has never failed a mission; despite the most dire situations. In fact, there was a time where Deadward's entire crew had been slaughtered by a group of pirates. Henry took them all out with only one bullet left on his belt and his trusty rapier. Oh, and he still had the bullet left at the end of it all.
These events have caused the name of Deadward to become something of a legend amongst the Navy. Henry commands much respect, and in return he doesn't decide to come after you.
