[MEMBER RULES]
Dream Sequence is intended to be a fun, enjoyable place for everyone to RP and have fun. That said, most forums eventually end up having to deal with people whose behavior ruins that fun for others, and thus rules are enacted. On the flip side, too many rules can actually take away the very fun they were meant to protect. With that in mind, we present a brief list of common sense rules that all members should keep in mind.
Thou Shalt Use The Golden Rule
- This is reeeeeeeaaaaally simple. When interacting with other members, only do unto others what you'd want done unto you. Don't dish it out if you can't take it. If you can't take the heat don't turn up the thermostat. If you don't have anything nice to say... well, you get the idea. As long as you don't go out of your way to be a jerk you shouldn't have any trouble.
- There is one exception, however. If your RPing character is a jerk by nature then, logically, this rule wouldn't be applied to your IC (In Character, as in roleplaying) posts. However, blatant abuse of this gray area can cause the Staff to get involved...
Thou Shalt Not Profane The Forums
- No posting pictures with explicit nudity or sexual themes, pictures with excessive gore, or any image that's generally accepted to be in poor taste. This isn't 4chan or Rule34, people.
- Please don't overuse profanity. We realize that vulgar language can have a legitimate place in RP, storytelling, and even ordinary posts... but if every other word that rolls off your character's lips is an expletive unfit for the ears of children the Staff will take action, possibly resulting in censorship or disciplinary action.
- Though we realize that even a "children's game" like Kingdom Hearts can engender adult themes, this is not a hentai RP site. If you're planning a storyline that contains or strongly suggests explicit sexuality, graphic bodily harm, or anything that would definitely be rated R if it were in a movie, ask a Staff Member for advanced approval and explain why such elements are necessary. If approval is granted we'll set you up with a password-locked thread for your RP. Only give the password out via PM to members who have agreed to participate.
