[/url][/b] was clear and fresh enough in memory and tale to know what fate seemed at hand in this world. BANG!Double doors burst open, somewhere nearby-- from the center of the Courtyard, it's too hard to tell anything more than a general direction-- but with five Pioneer Anomaly flying all jumbled together right this way, there's no time to do any deducing. [hp=40/40] Belladonna liked silence.
She wasn't the kind of girl to really enjoy socializing with people in the first place, really, and when she was given one of those ever-so-rare opportunities to have some peace and quiet, it was generally a good thing.
But of course, silence could never last forever.
The sounds of metal and the sight of creatures that certainly didn't belong in the area caught her attention, her gaze falling upon a group of them, rushing in a jumbled heap from the colonnade entrance. Growling low in her throat, she pounced, landing a few feet away from them and getting to her feet again.
"What are you?" She inquired, before tensing herself in a battle stance, ready to strike back, should they aim to harm her.
These creatures had made a grave mistake in attacking their homeland. [/blockquote]

”OOF!” Jillian landed on her stomach, luckily in a patch of grass so she wasn’t harmed. She quickly got to her feet and started running again, keeping her eyes out for the Anomaly.
She didn’t have to run far. As soon as she made her way into the Courtyard she spotted a group of the same Anomaly she first encountered. This time, though, she wasn’t alone. There was a tiger who had approached the red invaders.
She slowed down as she neared the the group, coming to a complete stop right next to Belladonna. Jillian's stance was similar to hers, ready for a counterstrike. “We call them the Anomaly where I come from.” Jillian offered. “Want some help?”

The Pioneer Anomaly, still a mishmash group of five, each no farther than a foot from the other in a miniature wave of unorganized speed, continued their race towards their newfound target-- Belladonna.
In a vicious display of brute animalistic behaivior, the wave of Anomaly caught up to Belladonna, with at least four claws stretched out in mid-attack, to slash at the feline. Judging by Belladonna's stance though...
Meanwhile, Jillian was totally ignored. Howabout that, huh? Load of jerks, the lot of 'em. [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8]

[hp=40/40] Belladonna was only slightly confused by the appearance of the new arrival. Granted, she didn't have any fur, and didn't look like anyone she'd seen before, but strangely... it didn't seem all that strange.
Regardless, she nodded curtly before turning her attention back towards the approaching creatures-
Who promptly attempted to maul her.
Already tensed to strike, she struck one of them in the chest, taking the opportunity to hit another one as well. Using her enhanced jumping abilities, she leaped leaped over the rest of them, landing on the other side, striking at the one furthest away from her previous position, her unarmed combat training increasing the amount of damage that she did with each and every one of her blows.
These things were going down.

Not bad. Jillian aimed a swing above the first Anomaly Belladonna had attacked, then turned around, swinging her staff along to hit the second target of Bella’s. It should be enough to eliminate the two if she remembered correctly, assuming both hits made contact. Flipping backwards a couple feet away, Jillian cast Ice on the third Anomaly that had previously been targeted. ”I hope you know magic, because these can turn into fireballs. I’ve never hit them with a weapon before, so I don’t know what will happen if you don’t use magic.” Jillian told the tiger. She took a step back and bent her knees, holding Igliel out in front of her, preparing herself for the next chain of events.

Jillian's mental math proved to be wrong sadly, as none of the Pioneer Anomaly so far seemed to have symptoms of Oh-No-I'm-Dead Syndrome from all the received blows-- and all the previous blows were received. This would prove to be a rather sudden discovery as, by moving in to attack the two Anomaly, Jillian left herself wide open to the two unscathed Pioneer Anomaly, both of which deciding to take the wonderful opportunity to get a good scratch in. [ Jillian takes 4 damage! ]
Meanwhile, though very deft, Belladonna had managed to get a small scrape by an outlying claw while midjump-- not a mean feat though, as placing herself behind them so quickly resulted in completely exiting their immediate range of vision. [ Belladonna takes 2 damage! ]
Sadly, this means all five Anomaly are not only near Jillian, but attacking Jillian. And only her.
A loud crash could be heard in the distant. Not the, "Oh, something expensive fell" sort of crash, but the "Oh, now where did that roof go?" sort of crash. It might be a good idea to try and wrap things up here as quickly as possible. [hp=2/8] [hp=2/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=8/8] [hp=3/8]

A casting of Fire and Thunder on the first of the Anomaly announced the arrival of Cloud Strife to the scene, charging forward and taking a defensive stance next to Jillian. "Sorry I'm late," He said, frowning. This was going to get bad fast, especially if that sound from the roof was what he thought it was. He hoped wrapping things up wouldn't take too long.

[hp=38/40] Belladonna had never been the kind of being to like weakness - after all, she was a tigress, a strong one at that, and had been raised and taught how to be just as powerful as her parents from the moment she could walk. Thus, minor as the strike was to her as she leapt over the creatures, it infuriated her, causing her to release a terrifying battlecry into the air before charging back into the fray, wanting to destroy these things as quickly as possible and save the girl that had arrived to assist her from being completely annihilated.
Vaguely noticing the sound of the castle falling apart, she aimed directly for Anomaly #3, aiming to deliver three consecutive strikes to the creature, her natural ability in unarmed combat enhancing the strength of her strikes and making it certainly possible to destroy the creature, should all of the strikes connect.
"This may not be your world, so you may not understand the urgency, but I would appreciate it if we could wrap this battle up quickly," She began, addressing the two other combatants, "I fear for my world's survival, otherwise."
[ Summary; Used an 'advanced battlecry', and aimed to strike the as of yet unharmed Anomaly #3 with three strikes, each enhanced with 'unarmed weapon student.' ]

The damage that she had taken was not too great. What was “great” was that all the pioneers were now targeting her. Luckily, Cloud’s appearance settled her nerves. The more the merrier. With the first targeted, Jillian swung out her leg and delivered a swift kick towards Anomaly #5.
”Can do!” Jillian reassured her ally. With Belladonna raging towards number three, Jillian targeted the fourth for her next assault. An ice arrow shot out of her hand towards the red creature and her staff followed it with a nice swing that just might come down strong enough to slam it into the ground.

Cloud's dramatic arrival, complete with fire and lightning to celebrate, turned to make an advantage of the situation-- with his twin spells, the first Pioneer Anomaly burst into a spray of red smoke with a loud bang, spiralling off into the red and stormy sky above.
Belladonna's own mad dash downed a completely unharmed Anomaly, sending it flying backwards a short distance before disappearing with a loud crack, just as with Cloud's success not moments earlier.
Jillian herself cleaned up the remaining foes rather well, with her swift kick sending another broken Anomaly skyward and quick thinking for the fourth of the Pioneer Anomaly.
Two Pioneer Anomaly remained, both not exactly in the best of shape. They didn't seem to notice, or mind, as they proceeded to attack Jillian with a ruthless fervor. They completed their earlier charge, running straight past what had become a duo of Jillian and Cloud, giving Jillian a good scratch for the trouble and aiming a similar one Cloud's way too. Cloud's prepared defense came in handy; he blocked the strike aimed at him and cut upwards with the Buster Sword, intending to scoop the monster off its feet and into the air. These.... whatever sort of Anomaly they were... felt a lot to Cloud like just a distraction. He hoped he wasn't correct in his guess.

This battle was going by much more smoothly than the last one had. Jillian aimed a swift jab right in the center of the Anomaly that just scratched her. Remembering the past experience, the other, bigger Anomaly would show up soon since its brothers were near defeat. ”Don’t start relaxing yet.” She said, her comment directed at the vicious tigress. ”There will be more.”

[hp=38/40] Belladonna, strangely enough, felt a smile spreading across her face - a strange occurrence, all things considered. But she couldn't help herself - these creatures had threatened her home, and yet they were being disposed of quickly and efficiently. Just as she liked it - the less damage done to her home world, the better.
Knowing full well that her two new comrades had certainly already ensured the death of the assaulting creatures, she aimed a strike at the first of the remaining pair, before aiming to strike the second one as well, simply making sure that they were dead, and not just feigning injury.
Oddly enough, however, she felt as though this battle had only just begun.

And all was quiet in the Courtyard.
...
No, seriously. This place isn't really interesting to the Anomaly, it seems. If you want more proof, just turn an ear off towards the Colonnade-- now that is a mighty fine crash!
Wait.
Huge flames could be seen reflecting off the fine white marble over the hedges, within the castle.
Perhap's Cloud's intuition wasn't too far off. [hp=0/8] [hp=0/8] [hp=0/8] [hp=0/8] [hp=0/8] [ Small breaking point to lead into the next section, nothing spectacular.

Yes, your HP will heal!
Yes, your various uses and cooldowns will be back to the norm!
Rejoice. ^^
Ryu, I'm sending you a PM with the details on the Belladonna/Mickey swap right now. It'll be at the start of the next thread.
Hope yer all ready-- next comes the challenge! ^^ ]
