The sun was beginning to rise in the town of Twilight, its orange glare and comforting warmth coming to aid the residents of this peaceful for yet another day. The various shopkeepers and other early-risers of the city got out of their bed, had their coffee or other preferred caffeinated beverage, and took their posts where they needed to be for the town to function.
After all, a town can't run itself, can it?
A young lady would find herself awake early this morning herself, standing in the midst of an area known as Market Street. The bulletin board posted beside her would hold an immense amount of tasks, some easy, some hard, that any good-citizen could most likely accomplish. It'd earn her some munny, and help out someone who wasn't capable of doing the job themselves.
On the other hand, there was that job-board in Tram Common...
Decide Which Job-Board You Want to Go To:
- Market Street
- Tram Common

Ellie rose early this morning, like any other normal day. She had decided to do some errands or jobs for the town which she so much adored and cared about. She quickly got ready and headed out towards Market Street, as she was walking there she also remembered that there was the job board in Tram Common as well. She had already made her way part of the way to the market so she might as well go there. She decided to job there to get herself in the spirit, since it was early and somewhat cold. As she made her way to the board she waved to some townspeople, gave them smiles or gave them a hyper 'Good Mornin'!' and then went on her way.
She hadn't eaten breakfast yet and knew while on the job she would get hungry so on the way she went to a bakery and bought herself a morning bun. She was decked out in clothes the townspeople often found her in. Black jeans, a shirt and her black jacket that she always seemed to wear. As she got to the board a man was leaving the board he saw her and decided to chat her up. "Hey," he said to her.
"Good mornin', I see I'm not the only one looking for jobs to do." She said to him and then flashed him a perky morning smile. They talked a little more but he had to get going. As he jogged off he waved back at her, moments before he had given Ellie his number. She stuffed the scrap of paper into her jeans' pocket and finally had time to look at the Market Street Jobs board. She put her hand to her chin in thought as she looked at the flyers upon the board.

[Elsa, please do not create NPC's out of the blue. That can be seen as god-modding in certain situations.] After Ellie's strange encounter with a man who seemed to be in somewhat of a rush, she would find herself looking at the job-board, pondering over the various tasks and tedious duties that her fellow town members needed to get done. The list was long and detailed, each white letter only giving way to more, never seeming to have an end in site.
My attic needs... Too boring.
Hi! I need someone to move this large shipment of machinery up... Ouch. That sounds backbreaking.
Finally, there seemed to be a list of tasks that seemed... well... doable.
- Rats: "An infestation of rats have seemed to taken up residence in my home. I need someone to run them out... Please don't hurt the little things!"
- Clock-Tower Bells: "I'm in charge of the Train Station Tower, and I need someone to figure out a way to change the ringer in one of these bells. If you know how and are willing to do it, please come A.S.A.P."
- Lab Assistant: "I'm currently studying the magnitude and orbital travels of various stars. I need someone to help me record my observations. Don't come if you can't think fast."
- Garbage: "I need someone to get this garbage out of my house and find a place for it. I simply cannot stand it anymore!"
Well, these all seemed somewhat interesting. Though the last one might get a little bit... stinky.
---
Dumb little girl... thought the man. He stayed in the alley, occasionally peaking out at the girl who he had charmed so... easily. Turning away, he walked into the darkness of the alley, seemingly vanishing into thin air...
Objective! • Choose a job from the job-board! Harder jobs pay more munny, and you can always come back and do more jobs once you get done with done of the other ones!

[Sorry, sorry ^^; I kind of added him in just to make my post longer..]
Ellie had her hand on her chin as she stared at the board trying to find something worth while that she could probably have fun with while also learning some stuff and getting some mula. There were four that seemed pretty decent. Now, which one to do, or to do first since she could come back and do the other three. Though Ellie was pretty neat and clean, she didn't really feel like taking out someone's garbage. Rats? Though she did enjoy them and wouldn't mind one as a pet she decided to stick with the other two. Just which one first? The lab assistant seemed pretty neat! She could learn something from that!
She shot her hand up in the air, forming it into a fist as it went upwards. She half jumped in joy. It was almost like a victory cheer. She took a look at the paper and tried to decipher where she would have to go. Though she wasn't too good with astronomy she did admire the stars and sky, it would be, er, interesting and very educational. She was wonderfully eager to do this job.

[OOC: Hello. My name is Geizt, and I'll be your QM for the thread now, as Gravity is very busy. If this causes you a problem, feel free to pm me. Thank you.] Under the Lab Assistant job, there was an arrow pointing to a floded up piece of paper tacked to the board that the posting were on.
On the paper, there were a few things written:
The first was the address, a house on an out-of-the-way street, a good place for a lab, as there wouldn't be complaints because of the noise or smells from chemicals and whatnot.
The next was a handwritten note, obviously from the poster himself.
"Hello! If you've taken this note, then you've obviously accepted my job. There are a few things that you are going to need in order to be my assistant. The first is a sharp mind, no point in trying to help me if you can't remember what you need to do! The second is the ability to work somewhat complex machinery. I may have you work something simple while I do the heavy work, so be prepared. The last thing is a willingness to follow orders, as I will be giving them hard and fast. If you can do this, come to the listed address, right away! If not, fold this note, and put it back on the board. Thank you!"
Better get going, hm?

Ellie read the paper with the information on it and mesmerized the address, she was pretty familiar with the town so she was familiar with the area where the lab was located. She then read the handwritten note. She was pretty good at following orders. She pocketed the note and began to head to the out-of-the-way house that was on the out-of-the-way street. Along the way she listened to music.
Finally she came to the street and began to look for the address of the lab. She found it and looked at the place. She took her headphones off and headed up to the door. Ellie knocked on the door twice and then waited. She waited for an answer or for someone wearing a white lab coat to answer the door.

After Ellie knocked, there was a crash followed my a series of rapid thumps, getting closer to the door.
The suddenly, the door was opened to reveal a man in a lab coat, slacks, and a white shirt. The man's hair was smoking slightly and, on closer inspection, was actually on fire! His hair, the not flaming part, was a graying brown, although gray from stress or age is uncertain.
Glaring slightly, he said roughly, "What is it? I was in the middle of an important experiment! Just what do you want, girl?"

Ellie heard the crash and the thumping, which seemed to her were footsteps. She guessed someone was coming, and that hopefully she hadn't interrupted them somehow. But as the man opened the door and spoke, it seemed that she had. Ellie smiled slightly, "Sorry if I interrupted you sir. I came here to accept the job that you had posted on the Jobs Board on Market Street." She said to him addressing the reason why she was here.
She looked him over a bit, "Oh and sir, I think you hair is on fire." She state to him, letting him know, being the kind and observant citizen that she was. She then stood there patiently awaiting his reply.

The man seemed to sniff the air as Ellie pointed out the fact of his hair, before letting out a shout of suprise and quickly beating the fire out.
After that paticular incident was over, he seemed to think about the rest of Ellie's sentence.
"Ah, so you're the person who accepted the job. Good, I was wondering when someone would come to help me out! My name is Albert Jein. I'm glad you decided to help. Now, come in and introduce yourself! After that, we'll get you a lab coat, and begin, okay?"
The man quickly walked into the house as he said this, motioning for Ellie to follow him.

Ellie nodded as the man in the lab coat acknowledged that she was the person who had accepted his job. "My name is Ellie Wrightsworth." she said introducing herself. She extended her hand towards the man, Albert Jein. She then walked in as he motioned for her to follow him. Walking inside she looked around his place, examining the place only with her eyes as she followed him.

The man walked over to a closet near the front door, talking while he rummaged through it.
"Alright then Ms. Ellie, try these on, and toss the ones that don't fit back in the closet."
As he said this, five lab coats of varying sizes were flung into Ellie's arms, as the man moved into the next room, still talking.
"Now, you won't be doing any of the actual experiments, just assisting me. So, all that I'll need you to do is minor tasks. Should be easy money for you. Is that okay?"

Ellie stumbled a bit to catch the five labcoats that the scientist thrust at her. But, she did catch them. She hugged them to her for a moment as she listened to man, Albert Jein. She then looked at the labcoats and tried to pick out the smallest one, when she thought she had she tried it on. But, it seemed to be just a little bit too long for her. She tried another, on the third try she found one but fit her pretty good. She put the other four back into the closet and closed the door.
"That sounds good, it would be a pleasure to help you Sir. And to learn some things, astronomical studies, right? I've always loved the stars." Ellie explained, as she quickly followed behind the man, now wearing one of the white lab coats that he had given her to try on.

The older man snorted with barely suppresed laughter as Ellie started talking about astronomy.
"Stars? Young lady, we are working with much more than just stars! I follow the movements of planets! Other worlds, and their movements in accordance with stars and other worlds!"
Moving into the largest room of the house, he moved out of the door way to reveal a MASSIVE telescope. It took up an entire story of the two story house, and it could obviously get larger, due to the now slid closed opening in the roof.
"Ms. Ellie, this is my pride and joy, along with being my main instrument of research. This telescope requires precise tuning, which you will be doing. Now, for your first task, take that ladder up, and adjust the large blue knob by turning it 45 degrees counterclockwise."

Other worlds? Ellie had only dreamed of such a thing. As she followed the researching into a big room she saw the massive telescope and her mouth almost dropped at how big it was. It was so big! She stared at it for awhile, almost not hearing what Mr.Jein had said. She nodded and repeated to herself, "45 degrees counterclockwise, blue knob." It was a mumble and almost un-hearable, only to Ellie herself.
Ellie was not one who was afraid of heights, she had climbed the towers of Twilight Town many times before and had never been fearful of sitting on the edge of the buildings. She rather enjoyed it. "Sir..are there actually other planets out there?" she asked him as she climbed the later. She reached the top and began to look for the blue knob, upon finding it she turned it 45 degrees to the left. Counterclockwise. "Done." she said as she started to descend the ladder. Climbind downwards she looked back at the scientist, awaiting his response or another task.

Albert looked at the girl after she asked the question, the look giving off the feeling of 'Are you stupid or something?'
"Yes Ms. Ellie, there are other planets. Did you think we were the only one in the system? Don't be ridiculous."
Shaking his head, as thought to shoo away philosophical thoughts, the older man continued, "Now, when I say so, Move to near the lens, and spin it clockwise for thirty seconds, before coming to the panel on the opposite side of me and reversing the switches located there, that will allow me to focus the lens, and reorient the axis. While you are doing this, I'll be turning the telescope, so be careful!"
The man began to move the telescope, saying "Now!" as he did so.
